Lovely place and amazing staff. The food was excellent. Only thing was the bed wasn’t terribly comfortable. Other than that, loved it and would come back.

Great place to stay. Room was very comfortable. Nice atmosphere in tbe bar and breakfast was excellent. Can't comment on the food as the nights we were there, Monday and Tuesday, they weren't doing food. Plenty free parking. Would recommend the Union.

The room was spacious, clean and super comfortable. The staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast was top class with super ingredients and really generous portions! Could not recommend enough! Will definitely stay again!

Incredibly warm and informative welcome, Andy ensured we had everything we needed, dinner was amazing, freshly cooked, very tasty and excellent choice for vegetarians Room was beautifully decorated with a super comfy bed and enormous fluffy towels Breakfast was preordered which meant it was freshly cooked when we needed it and totally set us up for the day Both Andy and Wendy are incredibly hard working and dedicated ensuring that the needs and comfort of customers come first and are always of a high standard

We have just had a perfect stay at the Union Inn and Restaurant. After a warm welcome we were shown to our room which was immaculate, well decorated and equipped with lots of little extras. The first night we stayed there for dinner which was delicious, all home cooked and we got "proper" chips. Breakfast was also amazing with plenty of choice, cooked to order and served piping hot. The location is within walking distance of Malton, the train station and the bus station giving access to Whitby, Scarborough, York and Pickering. Thank you to Andy and Wendy, nothing was too much trouble, we would definitely return and will recommend to family and friends.

Street front location with a huge car park at the rear which brings you in via the beer garden. Lovely outside area with comfy seating and plants. The inn is quirky, but in a good way as you would expect from an old building. Lovely rooms, each decorated differently and very clean and comfortable. Refreshments tray is well stocked as is the bathroom toiletries. The towels were as big as a bed blanket and from Next. Cooked breakfast was delicious and locally sourced from the nearby butcher. Good selection of drinks in the bar. The restaurant menu looked very nice, although we didn't partake of an evening meal. Hosts were very welcoming. We arrived well before the stated check in time but without a blink we were given our room key. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to Yorkshire.

We arrived a little earlier than expected but were greeted with a warm welcome and were able to check in after parking in the ample car park. Our room (3) was spacious, spotless and exceptionally well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom provided toiletries, feminine products and wonderful towels. The hosts were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We opted to have dinner in the restaurant purely based on the delightful smells from the kitchen…. We were glad of that decision, as both meals were delicious, fresh and plentiful. Breakfast was without a doubt one of tastiest we’ve had, with fresh, quality ingredients, again plentiful and beautifully presented. We will definitely return when next in the area … even if it’s just for the food and to say Hi to the wonderful hosts!!!

Pleased to say, after a 3.5 hour drive, we both had an excellent stay, check in was easy, staff and all the locals were friendly people. Food was excellent. Ian and Wendy were fantastic in making us feel welcome. Will certainly be staying again.

Great stay. Really well looked after by Andy. Superb Sunday lunch and breakfasts during our stay. Nice cosy bar with friendly locals. I would highly recommend the Union Inn and Restaurant for your next stay in Malton.

Rooms had just been renovated and were very nice and clean with lots of little extras, bed, bathroom, furnishings etc were all really nice. Location is good as you have other pubs, restaurants and shops within touching distance. Free parking at the back was secure and the staff were very friendly. I missed the included breakfast so can't comment on that.

2x night break..rooms were spotless, usual tea/coffee and bathroom toiletries etc. Great choice at breakfast, evening food very good and at decent prices, drinks also. Excellent parking facilities at rear of Inn, excellent outdoor beer garden. Hosts very welcoming and willing to go the extra mile to enhance your stay. Definitely no hesitation of going back, if down that way...

Came across the Union completely by accident, as a short notice visit. An absolutely brilliant find. Faultless from arrival to departure. A definite recommendation, you get great accommodation at a good price, with a really good English breakfast included.
