We booked this hotel for its pool and proximity to town, but it was a complete letdown. While our arrival started well with a great shuttle driver, everything changed when we stepped inside.
Nowhere were we warned that the hotel was undergoing major construction. The entire lobby was gone, and we were forced through a makeshift entrance, navigating dust-filled air and loud tile removal. It was unsafe, unprofessional, and unacceptable.
The pool was closed, which ruined our only chance to use it. The staff was incredibly kind and understanding, but they were not at fault. They handled it as best as they could, but the hotel should not be open in this condition.
What is most frustrating is that people have limited time off and choose hotels based on trust that their experience will be worth it. This hotel knowingly takes reservations despite being a disaster, and because of that, we had to scramble to find a last-minute alternative, costing us $400 more.
Running a business in this state is selfish and unprofessional. At the very least, guests should be warned, but in reality, this hotel should not be open. Avoid this place and stay somewhere that respects its guests.
