The globe was a very interesting pub and hotel. Busy on a Saturday night, they still checked me in quickly and well. It wasn't a noisy pub and the beds were good. We like it.

Comfortable bed and spacious room--but no breakfast available, despite what the listing says. We were counting on eating breakfast there and were surprised to find that there could be none. (Even though the breakfast details are given on the back of the room door AND in the binder in the room.)

The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff were helpful and on hand with any queries we had. Breakfast is better to be pre-booked and was very generous. We enjoyed our stay - thank you! Oh and the prices of the drinks in the pub were excellent!

Rooms are clean, nice having a wet room. Owners was very friendly and helpful,accommodation was in the center of town with loads of eating and drinking places.

Dated pub with rooms in desperate need of a refurb. Dining area crowded with tables & chairs. Outside area very tired & unwelcoming. Breakfast was enormous, great value but too much on plate. Bedroom was dusty & wet room no ventilation. Town closes early & no taxis. Ideal location but sadly would not recommend.

We had a lovely stay in a nice clean room with a comfy bed and nice bedding. I would have given 5 stars but there were a few things that could make it a little better. They need hand towels as well as a bath towel and black out curtains because it was very bright in the room in the morning. Also a handle on the outside of the door would make it easier to shut the door tight. There is no free parking near the pub unless you have a disabled badge. We stayed on a Saturday night and the music was very loud until around midnight. Food is not available atm but there is a co op around the corner and a chip shop across the road that closes quite early. All in all a nice place that was convenient to get to other places and we would stay again 😊😊

Das Zimmer war bei unserer Ankunft um 5pm leider noch nicht fertig, wurde dann aber fix gemacht. Bequemes Bett, hilfsbereite Gastgeber, gute Dusche - wir waren auf einer Radtour auf der Durchreise. Dafür ok.

It was not inviting We had not ordered breakfast apparently but we did manage to get a good breakfast the first day. We ordered breakfast for day 2 but we could not find a single person there between 8-9 when breakfast was The place was rundown although the room was quite clean the other areas were not, someone had been writing in the dust in the hallway and dirty cups were left on the top in the hallway for the whole of our stay The outside was very shabby. The Globe is a lovely old inn and the floors and walls were all quirky and a little wonky - all part of it's charm. I had a lovely bright room with a wide windowsill overlooking the main street. The adjoining wet room had everything I needed - including fluffy white towels. I had 2 wonderful nights' sleep in a comfy bed with fresh white - good quality - linen. The staff were friendly and genuinely helpful. They helped me with my bags - even carrying them out to the car for me (I am disabled) without being prompted. The public car park was across the main street with lots of spaces - and compared to my own home town was cheap. I will be back to explore the area further.

Jane the host was lovely and she was the cook as well and food was delicious the inn is over 150years old so you will have to take that into account but we had a great stay and would recommend

We received a wonderful warm welcome and the same level of friendly hospitality throughout our stay. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the company of locals in the pub. We thoroughly recommend this as place to stay, eat or just have a drink in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Big mention to Jane and Ollie who were so welcoming and friendly. Food was excellent. Room was quirky and lovely and quiet. Very peaceful. Very clean in rooms and in the pub itself. Lovely little town with lots of things to do in the area.
