The room was spotless, well appointed, and comfortable. The bathroom/walk in shower was fantastic. The view was unexpected and lovely. Our host was responsive and while we didn’t meet in person we felt welcomed. A great stay!

Kaikoura keeper!!

Great view of the ocean In Kaikoura. Good location to easily walk into town and enjoy a meal at one of many restaurants. Our room was spacious, bright, comfortable and well-appointed. Delicious continental breakfast!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful B&B. The room was very spacious, and tastefully decorated. A nice breakfast was provided in the morning. Would stay again if ever back in the area.Fabulous

We only stayed one night but Kylie, the owner, made us most welcome and gave us some useful information. Continental breakfast with fresh ingredients was supplied which was delicious. I'd definitely go back

In The Bay (great name!) is in a very good location clear of the hubbub of Kaikoura town center and yet on the sea front with fabulous views. It was just as advertised with good, well maintained facilities and spacious rooms with well appointed bathrooms. Breakfast was fresh and very convenient.

Our hosts were easy to communicate with, welcoming, informative about the area and accommodated us with dietary requirements . The stay was a lovely property: comfortable sleep, spacious, well designed and great facilities. Couldn’t ask for more, thanks so much guys! Highly recommended

We stayed in the Endeavour room and loved how spacious it was, as well as the view of the ocean from our room! The bathroom (shower especially) was amazing! Staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast provided was so great! There was also a lovely little sitting area outside for us to listen to the sounds of the ocean while enjoying our coffee/tea/breakfast. We thought the bed was going to be too soft for us, but we still had a pretty decent sleep. We did notice some dust and cobwebs in the higher corners of the room, but this wasn’t a huge deal to us, as overall everything else was otherwise clean. Enjoyable stay!

Good stay overall. Great location in Kaikoura - walkable to everything in town. Very nice renovated shower. This property should consider changing the name from "Bed & Breakfast" considering no breakfast is actually included despite the name. Some closer attention could be paid to cleaning - as the kettle was covered in limescale.

Great friendly vibe

I found the host really friendly and she made us feel very comfortable. She even offered to take us to the train station. Great new bathroom and decent sized room. Breakfast was nice but no option of anything cooked . Overall I thought it was a bit pricey.

This was a wonderful home away from home, only sad that we didn’t get to stay longer. We felt very welcome. The rooms themselves are beautiful with very comfortable beds, beautiful decor and honestly I think the best shower I have ever had in my life. Cannot thank them enough!
