We absolutely loved this property and everything about it! The room and bed were so comfortable, very clean, and cosy. I had the best night's sleep and loved the shower! The garden is beautiful, and the two gentlemen running it were so lovely! Did I mention the delicious breakfast! This hotel is top class, and we can't wait to come back again! A wonderful stay at Villa Marina

Our stay at Villa Marina was excellent. We were given a very warm welcome and the room was very comfortable and everything we could want was provided. Beautiful decor, very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was well cooked and served beautifully. We would be very happy to stay there again.

Fantastic Stay

Vince and Erwan have created a stylish and relaxing place to stay, within easy reach of Torquay town centre. The rooms were super clean, the beds were very comfortable, the parking easy and the breakfasts were awesome! Vince and Irwin are incredibly friendly and helpful suggesting places, pubs, restaurants and attractions to visit that will make your stay that much better. Their accomodations are comfortable and breakfast is delicious. Would not hesitate to stay here again and recommend to friends.

Stylish and welcoming

Last minute overnight work stop, made to feel very welcome especially considering how unexpected I was. The place has been decorated to a very high standard and kept its character. Room was immaculate and comfortable. Breakfast was top notch. Highly recommended would definitely stay again.

It was a lovely place, beautifully decorated with very comfortable beds. The breakfasts were delicious and the hosts were really lovely and good fun. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and even my husband couldn't find anything to moan about which is pretty much unheard of! Parking on the property is an added bonus too. We will definitely stay there again

I reviewed our stay a part of the stay from 15-16 June because we extended this stay. Please read if you want more detail. We loved staying here and will definitely return. The hosts are excellent. The accommodation and breakfast are excellent. It is dog friendly, has off road parking. It is all excellent. It’s a 10 from us. Top marks.

My husband and I spent our anniversary at Villa Marina, and we’ve never felt so genuinely looked after. Before staying here, we’d book standard hotels and think everything was fine if nothing went wrong. But our experience with Vincent & Erwan fundamentally changed our perspective, revealing the massive difference between faceless service and true relational care. What they’ve cultivated is a masterclass in authentic, intuitive hospitality. From the moment we arrived, Vincent & Erwan created an atmosphere of effortless comfort. They are literally the cutest ever! They possess that rare ability to hold space for guests with warmth, humour, and approachability. Rather than transactional interactions, our chats were deeply engaging; they took time to get to know us, offering tailored tips for local spots. The meaning made here is profound, you aren't just a room number, you are truly seen. Every detail, from the gorgeous room aesthetics to the seamless breakfast service, felt intentionally designed to drop our cortisol levels and promote total relaxation. To top it off, they surprised us with Prosecco and homemade cake (I NEED that recipe!) for our milestone. This stay was the most emotionally restorative travel experience we’ve ever had. The relational depth, care, and brilliant banter make Villa Marina a true sanctuary. We can’t wait to bring our family over! Vince and Erwan were the perfect hosts, extremely friendly and accommodating, and lovely to talk to. The room was beautiful, lots of lovely little touches (freshly baked lemon cake, pillow mist, selection of drinks and snacks in the room that you could pay extra for), everything was spotlessly clean, and the room was well appointed. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We booked our stay due to a funeral, however will definitely consider Villa Marina in future for a stay under better circumstances.

Torquay tour

Vincent and Erwan are exceptional hosts—helpful, generous, and kind. They assisted us with our luggage and provided a detailed itinerary to ensure we experienced the best attractions in Torquay, Dartmouth, and the surrounding areas. The breakfast was delicious, with a choice of English and continental varities. Poached eggs were cooked to perfection. Our bedroom was spacious, beautifully decorated, and filled with lovely touches and fragrances. Coffee and tea were always available. The room also featured coffee pods and a coffee machine, adding a nice touch. The cosy garden, complete with seating, was perfect for reading a book, listening to music or having a drink. The location is conveniently close to the train and local attractions. We would love to come back!

Nice B&B

Stayed here on business for 1 night. Location good for Torre station as it's less than a 5 minute walk. Also about a 10 minute walk to Torquay centre for pubs, restaurants, and takeaways. Stayed in a Luxury King, which was a spacious room on the 1st floor. Room was typical of a nice B&B in decor. Bed and pillows were comfy, and despite being near a road, I wasn't disturbed by any noise at all. The room had a tv with freeview, kettle, ironing board, and a couple of chairs with a table in the bay window. No work desk - but that wouldn't affect most people. The free wifi was very fast. There was a medium sized shower in the spotlessly clean bathroom, along with some quality shower gel / shampoo etc. Towels were as big an fluffy as any top quality hotel. I was in a rush in the morning, so only had time for a bacon sandwich. This was a shame as the breakfast room is lovely, and the food choice looked varied and very nice. The bacon sandwich turned out to be very good indeed. Overall - I would stay here again when next visiting the area.

We also stayed 12-15..we extended our stay. Everything was lovely about this little Torquay b and b gem. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and from the minute we arrived to the moment we left, nothing was too much trouble. This is a very dog friendly place. Barney had his own towel, dishes and treats. He loved the fuss. The room was brilliant and just what we needed. There’s a mini fridge, with fresh milk, and chilled water, refilled when you ask. Choose Biscoff biscuits, nespresso coffee or instant, decaf too, (or tea and hot choc) Dressing gowns in the wardrobe, iron if needed. There are USB connections and plug sockets, on both sides of the bed..and fast Wifi, a smart Alexa speaker, plus a TV if wanted. A good shower, lovely shampoo, hand wash and shower gel in the bathroom (I’m going to buy some!) and super fluffy towels. The king size bed was a little soft for us but that’s our choice. It was very comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast choice and quality was excellent. You choose what you want the evening before and what time you would like to eat, between 8-9 am. With excellent fresh coffee, too. You have the use of the pretty garden and furniture for sunbathing or reading, or picnicking.. and there is some off road parking for a few cars. We normally like the anonymity of chain hotels but staying in this little oasis may just have changed our minds! We will return!

Wir verbrachten 5 Tage in dieser schönen Unterkunft. Es ist sehr gepflegt und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Man kann auch im Garten sehr gemütlich sitzen. Vince und Erwan sind einfach liebenswert und kümmern sich wunderbar um ihre Gäste. Ihre Tipps für Ausflüge oder Restaurants waren alle super. Das Frühstück ist klasse, vorallem der Kaffee, frisch zubereitet am Tisch. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Lovely clean room with everything needed for a short break, comfortable bed and en suite shower room. Hosts were friendly and welcoming and always around if needed. Great range of breakfast options, all freshly cooked. Free parking on site and hassle-free check-in and out.
