The Manoir is a charming, rustic property. A warm and friendly welcome from Marie. Te property is a couple of kilometres from the nearest village so peace & isolation is guaranteed. A refreshing dip in the pool on arrival was very welcome. Marie’s home cooking for the evening meal was lovely with a great selection of wines. The room was on the top floor. Good, comfortable bed and a large bathroom with a great walk in shower.

Très bien

J’aime bien cet endroit !

The apple chateau

very rustic, suited us very well as we took a dog - plenty of walks around, lovely building. doesn't seem to answer emails, English was as good as my French when i called about taking a dog.... generally we loved it!

Not as expected

This hotel was not what we had expected from the description and pictures; it is a little run down. We arrived during the check in times given, but no one was there. A lady came over from the neighbouring property to help us, however there was a language barrier. This isn't her fault, but this hotel is advertised as multilingual and English speaking. None of the staff seemed to speak any English. We found it strange not to have a key to our room so we kept most of our belongings in the car. The flooring was extremely uneven in our room and we thought we'd fall through the stairs when carrying our luggage (we're not heavy!)! The WiFi is advertised as in the rooms, but it didn't reach our room and we were a little worried that we couldn't spot a fire/smoke alarm. The breakfast was OK and probably the best part of our experience. We booked this hotel as a stopover before getting to our wedding venue and was not the affordable luxury accommodation we expected.

If you do not book in advance for dinner, then you will have to drive 6miles to Dange Saint Romain. To book dinner in advance your arrival by phone then you will have to be fluent in French. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. I saw no smoke alarms which was a cause for concern in such an old building. Will not be returning.

A Charming Chambres D'Hotes

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Manoir de la Blonnerie and, as usual, it's. even an absolute pleasure. Everything about this place appeals, from the rustic charm of the rooms to the fabulous home cooked food... it's a gem of a chambers d'hotes and very reasonable too. Already looking forward to our next stay!

Good stopover venue for travelling south.

Another journey break. Easy to find but make sure you read the small print. Must phone in advance if arriving before 17.00 which is fair enough as it is a working farm. More importantly you must give 24 hr notice if you wish to eat in the evening. We failed to do so and had to drive into Chatellerault to eat. However some good restaurants available there. Breakfast, included in the price, was excellent and the room was very rustic and charmingly appointed. Great Queen size bed.

One of the highlights of our holiday

This hotel is an absolute gem! Tucked away in the beautiful French countryside, Manoir de la Blonnerie is full of character, the rooms are beautifully decorated and the staff couldn't be more welcoming, friendly and attentive. We can't rate it highly enough!

Beautiful quiet farm location

Looks run down at first sight, and deserted when we arrived But it's charming and a working farm And the bedroom was tasteful, spacious, well-equipped, comfortable, and spotless And the people are delightful, relaxed and friendly Dinner was excellent, as was breakfast, with lots of their own products used.
