Another great stay at The Slate - from friendly check-in and information, to a beautifully made up and comfortable room, I couldn’t fault it. Will be back again next month for one more trip this year!

The amazing welcome from when we first stepped into the building to when we left was great. Clean room, house keeper came everyday, great food and friendly staff in the bar and restaurant. Lovely quiet secluded place, there is a train line right outside the hotel but very few running. Would definitely recommend and stay again, especially if you want to explore Snowdonia and the surrounding area.

Excellent well located semi rural inn. Staff very helpful. Food in restuarant excellent and well priced. Terrific stay.

6/10 Buena

Lovely place, nice room, lovely staff. Would get a great review if it were not almost on top of a busy train track. If you get the other side of the hotel, maybe. But if you get room 8 or one near it, then forget it. No sleep at all!

The hotel is decorated really beautifully, the rooms were clean, the beds were really comfy, the breakfast was very tasty and the location is great (right by Garth pier and a short drive to Anglesey or Llandudno). We had a wonderful stay and would definitely visit again.

Really helpful and friendly check in staff and despite arriving after the restaurant closed (late ferry), they were able to rustle up a meal. This was only ever a mid journey break, so we didn’t fully utilise the facilities or explore the local area.

Everything about our stay was excellent. We can't wait to come back for another relaxing weekend trip and delicious Sunday Roast. Thank you so much for having us!

We had a last minute booking and were pleased with our stay at The Slate. All the staff were really nice and helpful. Maybe a mini fridge next time would be nice but overall we we had a nice two night stay!

Very spacious room which was extremely clean. Large bar and restaurant area where we had a few drinks. We did not have breakfast. Our room was very close to the railway and therefore we had to keep the windows closed to dampen the noise. In the summer heat, the single fan in the room was just about adequate.

Everything was fab… From reception staff to breakfast staff. Room was really comfortable with a great en-suite. Pre-ordering breakfast was a bonus.

Enjoyed the stay. Staff helpful, food was filling and tasty. Only issue that needs to be understood before arrival, is the step stairs to the bedrooms. But didn’t detract from a nice experience.

Modern, fresh and clean rooms. Well equipped with everything we needed. Staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Bar was open late, staff sorted taxis etc for us. Good quality breakfast, nice selection. Was exactly what we needed.
