Desagrado

Locked in, doors chained shut “for an event” with no regard for other guests who may not want to be held captive, not to mention the danger if there was a fire or something. 3 days of cold showers due to hot water problems. Laundry came back still dirty after being washed in cold water. “Restaurant” was breakfast only, staff had bad attitude, wouldn’t even warm up your (very weak) coffee without charging for another cup. Not friendly at all. I’ve stayed all over Lima and this is the only place that we would never stay again.

a hotel worse than an inn
There is no soundproofing, various facilities are broken and breakfast services are trash, especially for hotel employees. Only cold water comes out in the shower. I prefer the guest house in Miraflores. I advise you not to make a reservation

It was good and safe
Good and safe hotel that wasn’t too far from the orphanage we were working at. Hotel staff were amazing. We would eat food at 1/2 am by the pool and they were still serve us and clean up after us. Big pool. But loud in some spots where it faces the street

Ghe-tto area, far from the city, poor facilities
It's far. This hotel is at least 40 minutes away from Miraflores (the modern area in Lima) and 30 minutes away from the airport. In rush hour, obviously it's longer. The hotel is unfortunately in a ghetto and dangerous area. No decent restaurants are close.
To get around town, you need to deal with taxis who by the way got me swindled (exchanged paper bill by a lesser value). Out of the 10 taxis I dealt with were all horrible. Rude, can't speak english, filthy car, and will try all their best to over charge you.
The hotel does not have air conditioning unit. No fan either and you can't open windows because you won't feel safe. Hot shower did not work. I had to call Orbitz and ask for a refund for them to fix it.

Lousy hotel far from every where
When we first arrived at the hotel there was no reservation on the computer. The staff didnt speak a word of English so we had to communicate through translation app. He brought us to a one king size bed room which was not what I have reserved(I booked a 2 twin size beds room). You have to shiver nake for 10 mins b4 the hot water comes on in the shower and the water pressure was really low. Next day we have to ask and wait for 15 mins for the free breakfast which consisted of 4 bread rolls and a styrofoam cup of juice. We stayed there for 2 nights and our room was never cleaned once. I had to ask for new towels the 2nd nite. It was my fault I didn't check the location of the hotel and it was far from every where and the neighborhood was kinda deserted. The money I saved ended up spent on taxi and then some. Overall it was a bad experience .
