Good for families, good value. We didnt have the food there as we opted to just buy some stuff from the nearby Sainsburys for our duration. Its not 'spick and span' tip top perfect as you would expect a good hotel but the bed was comfortable and I would return there if I needed to. Outside is designed for kids to play so yes definitely geared for the kids.

The whole place is run down and needs an overhaul. We stayed in the princess rooms. There was an overwhelming smell of damp/mustyness. It needs a renovation. You can book other places close by for a better stay. Staff we met were helpful. This review is purely based on the room and accommodation itself

Small , but nice bedroom,bed lovely and comfy , nice clean bedding, little sink in corner of bedroom , didn't get any hot water from the tap, enough tea and coffee etc for a night stop over, now the bathroom had a horrible smell coming from it , possibly from the sink hole, tiny sink with shelf above was a bit awkward to clean teeth,friendly lad on reception.

We really enjoyed the whole stay. The scenery and set up is beautiful. Our room was lovely and bedding clean. Staff were amazing. Very friendly. The only issue we had was the food. We have a meal in the restaurant and it was £16 for a microwave curry. Drinks expensive and breakfast basic. This is the only thing to let it down. However there is plenty of food options in Matlock Bath itself.

Booked a double room for one night, and it was a huge mistake. The carpet was dirty and smelly, the room had only one window with very poor air circulation, and the walls were extremely thin. The bathroom/toilet was so small that taking a proper shower was difficult. Overall, the cleanliness was unacceptable, and I would not recommend this hotel. I’m also surprised that Hotel.com allows this property to be advertised on its platform.

There was a lot of dust around especially at high level.We expected to get continental breakfast but were told due to their been a lot of children there it wasn’t possible.When we booked, A continental breakfast was mentioned in the booking then when we got there we were told it wasn’t possible.The tea coffee milk and sugar were poor, we had to go and get some more from the desk.They seemed a little disorganised.

The park itself was fun , but our room & breakfast experience fell short. Room felt dusty, hair in the bath & cobwebs between the fridge & the unit. Very disappointing breakfast, we were immediately told there were no pastries, ( full English breakfast was available) my tea came with long life milk & when I asked for fresh , I was told there wasn’t enough as it was being kept for cereal. Only white toast available with butter completely melted. The cereal took a long time & I had to ask twice. When it finally arrived, it came with a half cup of milk I was told there was very little due to no delivery. We were so disappointed that the following morning we decided to skip breakfast at Gulliver Kingdom and went somewhere nearby instead.

I booked a comfort room as it was just myself and my partner staying. We arrived earlier than check in so parked to car in the car park and carried on with our day. Reception and most of the accommodation is up a steep hill. At check in time the receptionist was lovely and gave us all the information needed. Our accommodation was back down near the bottom of the hill and had own parking area. The block looked and felt pretty new it was called willows and was all wind in the willows themed. Our room was called rabbit, it was very clean and couldn’t fault it at all. Would definitely stay there again

Really really bad. Dirty, expensive, poorly maintained and had hardly any sleep due to kids screaming and playing knock a door run until 11pm. Wouldn't recommend - we travel theme parks around the world and stay in on site accommodation regularly. This was by far the worst.

Staff helpful enough but when you have a leaf blower waking you up right outside your door, is not pleasant experience. The place is highly dated, you are staying very near other guests so it is not private at all. Kids loved bunk beds but could easily escape as they could easily reach the lock as there bedroom curtain is right next to the exit, was ok for one trip but wouldn’t return again
