The Bario Hotel is a lovely property with beautiful historic buildings and a great location. We only stayed one night and so very much appreciated being able to park in their free secured lot while we explored the local sights before check in and after checkout. The staff were so friendly, our room was very clean, and the pool was divine for cooling off in the evening.

The standard is like a guesthouse. Nice atmosphere. We got the wrong room on arrival (not an upgrade), but it got sorted the next day. Stayed here almost 2 weeks, great with the big parking space.

My wife was injured during our stay in Curacao (not at the Bario Hotel) and the staff went out of their way to ensure she was comfortable and able to enjoy the remainder of her stay in curacao. Would recommend this Hotel to anyone who cared to listen to my opinion.

The pros: • Convenient to lots of restaurants and attractions. • The pool is open 24 hours • The rooms are simple, but equipped with everything you need The cons: • Lots of private events that make it to where you can’t utilize the bar or restaurant. • There was tons of noise from someone nearby that literally would scream for 6-8 hours straight at night. It made it hard to sleep at times. Not the hotels fault, they can’t control the nearby neighbors. I’d stay again, but next time I’m bringing ear plugs and my own bottle since the bar probably won’t be open to guests anyway.

Bario is the best in Willemstad

The Bario's location is excellent, very accessible to the town and lots of eateries. The restaurant serves delicious food. Bario is clean and comfortable, and Stephanie, the manager, was amazing! She was very helpful and courteous. Bario is an excellent value in terms of price, location, cleanliness, service quality and food.

We stayed in January 2025. Stay was enjoyable; clean room, friendly and responsive staff. They have a restaurant and the food is very good. Located close to everything and lots of room for parking. We recommend this hotel if you are looking for something local and convenient.

My stay was excellent

Had an excellent 5 day stay a Bario hotel. If you want to get a local experience then this is your place. It is centrally located and the Queen Emma Bridge to Punda is about a 6 min walk. The staff were so Kind, food was great, just overall great hospitality.

This was a fabulous place! My twin and I were staying here for the week and we hit gold with this place. Could not have asked for a better room or service! We were worried about being located right near the restaurant but it was not an issue and very quiet. The cleaning, cooking, and administrative staff were all attentive and pleasurable to work with. If we ever come back to 🇨🇼, we are staying here! It is locally owned and gives back to the economy unlike some other resorts/hotels in curacao. Stay here if you want to stay close to downtown. This side of the bridge is the best place to be :)

We very much enjoyed our stay. Staff was helpful and friendly, grounds were well kept and very colorful. Restaurant on property had beautiful decor, be mindful they close late sometimes so it may be louder during busier hours but that was definitely not an issue for us. Parking was convenient and Room was clean. Will gladly stay again during future travels.

A GOOD NEIGHBOURHOOD PLACE TO STAY

If you are looking for accomodation that makes you feel apart of the neighbourhood and not necessarily a hotel, this is the place to be. Colonional buildings renovated to apatment and room styles with all the amenities you need. The Location is perfect to get around the city center. The food is reasonable and tasty, with courtyard perfect for just hanging out with friends.

This is the real local experience and the property is really one of a kind. Colourful and vibrant, incredible staff who were so accommodating. Walking distance to shops, art, nightlife and dining in a charming neighbourhood. The food at the hotel restaurant was fantastic! Safe for solo female travellers. I will be back with friends!

This was a gem in the Otraband area..walkable to the "bridge" and area on other side of the bridge, restaurants, RIF fort..Starbucks etc. Absobutely Charming...owner is taking one of the historic buildings and turning it into a 23 room hotel..restaurant and bar, pool, AC, .note if you need a downstairs room as this has a historic set of stairs too! Is on all tours!!!

Our room was not in the main part of the hotel which was ok as it was quiet, had access to a back patio area and was not far from the main hotel. Rooms are in historic buildings so expect that they are not in 'pristine' condition as old buildings like old homes require constant maintenance. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We would recommend the hotel as it was very easy walking to Punda, to the bus stations, restaurants, and to many attractions. We enjoyed the small pool as a way to cool off and relax after a day of walking and sightseeing. Thanks to the Bario for a great week.

Property was great. Restaurant was ok. Waited 25 minutes for a brownie and ice cream for carry out. When finally received, it was a melted mess. Room was great!! I got a 1 bed apartment and there was plenty of room. Walking distance to the bridge and lots to do. Didnt move my car for 3 days.

Good choice but noisy

The property is very well located. Room is clean, but communication via Whats is bad. There is no reception, so you must talk to the restaurant’s employees. It is a noisy place due to the old construction. There was a big party during my stay with loud music until 2am.

Stay was excellent. One day later I found I left my pants and shirt hanging in the wardrobe along with my wallet. Went back to retrieve and the girl that helped was the most helpful courteous and cheerful person I have met. She found my clothes and I later found my wallet!!! She deserves a lot of praise for a job well done. Than you!!!

Property was very noisy especially since my bed was situated directly underneath the staircase. I would suggest putting a mat on the staircase to avoid the noise. Jot everything was explained upon arrival however the costumer service was impeccable when asking questions. There were a few instances when I asked a worker for assistance and he had no mnowledge of what to do.

I would have loved to give this a higher rating but the mattress and pillows were almost unbearable. I was exhausted most of our trip. With that being said, this is a wonderful little urban boutique hotel. The staff was wonderful. Very helpful and friendly. The property never felt crowded. There is a small pool to relax by and a minimal restaurant and bar on site. We rented one of the small apartments. Didnt get the cute one pictured but realize that was just the luck of the draw. Also, you should realize that this is located in a neighborhood and does get quite noisy at times. We had young children screaming/playing right outside our window til midnight one night plus construction and other city noises on a regular bases. We were ok with this but if you are looking for peace and quiet you may want to look elsewhere.
