Very pleasant stay. This place is particularly convenient for people staying a week or more. Not far from CBD, and nice views on the lagoon

Very clean and well organised. There is a pool and a bar/restaurant if you don't want to go out to eat. Very well located just a few minutes away from the city's centre and various supermakets. It might get a bit noisy in the evening because of the bar's evening specials, but it's not too bad

In an area full of locals and super close to the market and the shops and the beautiful water as well so couldn't be a more convenient spot to stay in Port Vila :)

We had a really good time at Retreat Seaside. The bar has a nice view and is a great place to socialize. The staff is very friendly and Chris the manager is a great guy. Good value for money.

Great option to stay at good rates. Quiet when no major sport events are on, and pleasant owners and staff. No complaints.

My 3rd stay at Retreat Seaside and staff, food and atmosphere continue to make you come back Overlooking the lagoon with a lovely pool the aussie owners Andrew and Dan with their staff are always friendly and onsite to make sure you enjoy your stay They have a number of room options depending on your budget and in my opinion the best pizza’s in Vila The hamburgers and chicken schnitzel are also fresh and mouth watering Happy hour from Tuesday to Sunday 3-6 and it is a sports bar with all the latest sport on 3 screens , darts and axe throwing competitions and a lively fun mixed crowd in most nights Highly recommended

The staff, except one cleaning lady, were not very friendly. They couldnt even say good morning, hello. Anything. We ordered 3 times food. The first time, we were the only people who ordered, they needed 40 mins for a wrap add Chips. The 2nd time they forgot us (again, no one else was there) after 45 min i had to ask for the food then they remembered) 3rd time, only Chips.. they needed 25 min. Again only ones who were ordering food. The bar area is good, If you want to hang out there. The pool is a nice place for chillout. Only minus Point, that the staff is using Sometimes the good shady places next to pool. Without an additional fan in the room, it would be too hot, but they gave it to us very fast. That was great! The bathroom is very OK to share, If you book one of the rooms, with shared bathroom. Its OK for the price, but everything is a bit far away. No beach you can walk to (maybe only Iririki-Island, If you want to pay 25$ daypass). Otherwise not much nature around, or the 'typical island life' For this you have to book somewhere else, but not Port Vila.

I enjoyed staying at Retreat Resort - it was quiet, walking distance to a local fruit stalls, supermarket, and some of the tourist attractions. The staff were helpful as well as the owner who was available if needed. The facility had a bar with meals and that was a benefit too.

Nice accommodation compared to what you pay. It was clean, good restaurant/bar area and nice owners. I've returned a few times while I was traveling around Vanuatu.

The breakfast is not well prepared, those bread are wet. Those facilities are broken. Kettle can not be opened. The toaster doesn’t work. The fan in some of the rooms don’t work, etc. The twin room is without window.

Friendly place for solo travellers

The family who own it and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. The bar and dining area is really nice and it was really easy to get chatting to people (there seemed to be mostly solo travellers when I was there). There is a pool with sun beds and a great view over the lagoon. The food is good and the WiFi works!

The owners are very hospital and nice. The place has everything you need and the location is fairly conveniently. I’d stay here again.

Not the best experience

Seaside resort Unfortunately not the best experience. Place was quite over priced for what it is. Upon booking it is said a continental breakfast is included however please note this is cornflakes and milk and bread. (A toaster is provided to toast your bread if you prefer) I would suggest if you decided to stay here to ensure all valuables and money is locked away or with you when you are out of your room. On a good note the owners are extremely friendly and accomodating. Food is same priced as all other resorts and restaurants. Food is very nice
