We visited for a wedding in the adjoining Le petite chateau and had a wonderful day. All of the staff were polite, helpful and service was excellent. The wedding food and the breakfast were both delicious. Our room was a good size with a lovely walk in rainfall shower. My only slight disappointment was that the room was very dark despite 2 windows because they both faced onto a wall. It didnāt really matter to us because we literally only slept in it but Iād be unhappy if we were staying a few nights.
Definitely recommend.
We had an amazing anniversary stay at this beautiful, charming hotel.
We were greeted by welcoming, friendly staff upon arrival, and check in was quick and easy.
Our room was immaculate and impressively decorated. The bed was very comfortable, but the stand out feature was the tin bath - a real showstopper.
I would highly recommend this hotel for a romantic night away.
Just spent two nights there for my son's wedding, what a fabulous chic place.
All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.
Excellent hot food served at all meals we had including the breakfasts. Bathroom in our room (23) was unbelievably hot with a fabulous rain shower. Not cheap but worth every penny, 5*
Beautiful venue, lovely location. Great selection of drinks and food menu was good. Breakfast was very nice indeed.
However, the venue had a wedding on the night of my stay and I would have appreciated a) being told this was the case and b) not being put in a room directly above the room that the party was in. Terrible nights sleep and Iām puzzled why when allocating rooms you would place people in that room.
Lovely romantic night away.
Quirky little room with wooden beams and a chandelier. Lovely comfy bed and a great choice of hot drinks.
Best bit was the ensuite bathroom with a large walk in shower and a roll top metal bath!
Garden is lovely, restaurant is nice and staff are very professional.

We loved our stay, the room was lovely and there was nice touches such as the chocolate and nice coffee. We enjoyed our breakfast in the morning.
The only down side is the evening meal and drinks are on the pricey side, £13 for a double gin and lemonade (I am aware there is not much competition in otterburn). The meal was nice though and the staff were so lovely and accomodating :).
