The room was a bit small, but that's normal for business hotels in Tokyo. Tokyo/Japan is different than the United States: in the USA you're up front paying for safety, in Tokyo/Japan, a lot of the time you're paying for the size of the space.
Check in was great, very efficient. The room was really good, I enjoyed staying there. The bathroom was solid, everything was cleaned and worked well.
Where the hotel really excelled was the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful, and I asked for help several times. An example, I was going to stay in a hotel in Yokohama, I decided to send my luggage rather than lugging it across town; I explained what I wanted to do, showed them the address of the location I was going to, they filled out the forms, took care of everything for me, worked out great, as I expected it would.
Also, breakfast. I really appreciated the breakfast, the food was good, the venue was nice, and the staff were really great. It was a great start to the day, every day. I've been to Japan maybe 20, 25 times, since 1994, and I really appreciate starting the day with something as relaxing as that breakfast. Maybe that sounds silly. And it starts at 630am, so it's plenty early to eat, relax, have some coffee, and still get out there and do my thing.
Ah, also also, location. Right next to a great food area, and Ameyoko, and the Ueno station. Very convenient! Less than ten minute walk to the Ginza Line, 12 minutes to the main station. Thank you!
