This is Barcelona, so prices are super high. This said, SmartRooms is nicely located in a barrio that is still inhabited by locals and very well connected to the main attractions with public transport or by walking. My room was super clean and kept like that during my stay. All the common areas were also very clean. Staff was helpful and kind.

The staff were friendly and easy to communicate with, which I appreciated. The location is acceptable and convenient for getting around the city. That said, the rooms are very small. The bed is small, and the bathroom is extremely tight. The shower barely fits one person, and I am not a large person. There is no space or shelving in the bathroom to place personal items. Soundproofing is poor, so if you have neighbors, you will hear everything. During my stay, I was moved to different rooms three times, which was inconvenient. Overall, it may work for a very short stay if location matters more than comfort, but it is not ideal if you value space, privacy, or quiet.
