Motel is a 5 minute drive from the centre of town, surrounded by trees. The staff were friendly, polite and professional. The art deco vibe in the common areas of the motel is great. My room was clean, tidy, quiet and fairly basic. I would stay here again.

I was quite happy with the hotel, room was cleaned. They provided with all basics need like towels, coffee, tea, milk, biscuits, kettle, soap, conditioner but not shampoo maybe they forgot, lotion, shower cap. They have a room for the guests with toaster and microwave so we can have breakfast in here instead in the room. As an old building no soundproofing so we still could hear people talking, I could quite understand. Lovely art deco building surrounding with beautiful trees. I could hear Cookobura and others bird singing. Walking distance to lake Sambell and the town. Asylum just nearby if interested joining a ghost tour. We have heater in the room.

Staff were great at check in and out. The hotel was quite dated and the air conditioning did not work so the staff had been nice enough to move a portable cooler into the room but on a 40 degree day and 32 degree night it wasn’t too effective. The room was dated but clean and comfortable. A lovely feel

This property was just so enchanting because of the history that surrounds it. The bed was comfortable, the shower and water was strong and hot. We enjoyed our stay, and we must say that, Deano was a very attentive host. I would recommend the Nurses Quarters to all who are thinking of staying in the area.

Fine for overnight, but wouldn't want to stay any longer. Room was nice but air con/heating wasn't working and we had to rely on a small radiator and a fan heater. Public areas were also freezing.

The old nursing home is a great example of art deco building and pleased to see that has been repurposed as accommodaiton for travellers. Is basic in what it offers - that said our room was clean, the beds super comfy and it is an convenient walk from town.

Peaceful Harmonious Great to listen to all the cockies and other birds waking up in the morning Great Chinese restaurant in Town 11out of 10 for Deano the manager. Looks rough as guts, but bends over backwards to accommodate ALL your wants and needs

Restful stop over.

Our stay for one night was good. We like buildings with history and a story. This Art Deco building is just that. The rooms & bed are comfortable. Beechworth is a lovely town with plenty of options for coffee and eats.

Not... great. The property could be absolutely beautiful but it's quite rundown. The photos on the listing were of a fully renovated room but that is CERTAINLY not what we were in. Paper thin walls, so it was extraordinarily loud, we had to ask for towels as they weren't provided, and when they were brought to us they didn't smell exactly straight out of the washing machine. Perhaps worst was having a member of the staff let themselves into our room at 9am. The location is kind of cool (and Beechworth is such a groovy little town) but this was a let down, unfortunately

We loved everything about the building, including the authentic art deco restoration, the relaxed vibe, the beautiful grounds and the short drive from Linaker into town which each time provided a gorgeous view of the centre of town. The manager Dean was professional, helpful and thoughtful and all in all, a real treasure.

Great location, great (heritage) building, great rooms. Minor glitches were remedied quickly and cheerfully. However the lack of Wifi in rooms needs attention.

Awesome vibes, loud rooms

Such an interesting hotel, art deco style and history is fascinating. Comfortable beds and great check in experience. No soap in bathrooms and shower is often lukewarm. Can hear other rooms very clearly, so if another room is talking loudly or having a late night party you will hear every bit of it. The staff (Deano) were amazing and when I called to complain about another room having a party at 3am, they immediately picked up the phone and sorted it. Highly recommend staying here for the history, location, and vibe. Bring your own soap and ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.
