Such a cute apartment. Very clean and everything we needed. Many things to do close by. Loved the bike trails and the river for paddling.

Loved learning the history of the hotel. Quaint and quiet. Super clean and loved access to all the amenities. Cant wait to return. We had no issues with check in at all. Great communication!

6/10 Good

The apartment was clean, but the traffic noise was HORRIBLE. Lots of street racer cars speed by and the gaps around the window unit AC could be sealed to help with noise. I stuffed pillows around the unit and it helped. There is one small, hard love seat. Between that and the traffic noise the living room was very uncomfortable. There also aren’t any privacy curtains on the windows. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced place downtown to spend the night this place is ok because the bedroom door keeps out the street noise. If you’re looking for a place to relax, look elsewhere.

If you get the Foster room you are 5 feet from a road and the windows aren’t insulated. I left at 8:30 pm and went to a hotel and just paid twice.

This was a great place to stay, and if I am ever back in Fort Wayne Indiana I will try to book here again. The key is understanding the type of place this is. If you go into it expecting it to be like a hotel or a B&B, then you will be confused and disappointed. It is really more of a self-directed guest house. There was never any staff that I saw, rather you take care of everything yourself. The day that we arrived I had the door codes emailed to me. That code got me in the front door of a stately old house with a great history bad inside had been renovated into multiple individual Suites surrounding a common living room. In the common living room there were extra towels, a fridge and coffee maker, and a constantly replenished Supply of snacks. Inside our suite was a typical bedroom with a large comfortable bed, a TV with a Roku, and your own bathroom and shower. It is very close to the convention center downtown, and is walking distance from most amenities. I was in Fort Wayne for a festival, and this really was the perfect place for me to stay. I don't need Hotel staff to babysit me, so I was happy to be more independent here for a more affordable price. My only complaint was that in our suite, the Lincoln bedroom, while the toilet was around the corner from the main sleeping area, there was no actual door separating the two. Maybe your marriage is at the stage where you go to the bathroom with the door open, but after 25 years mine still isn't!

I loved the historic nature of this property. I was traveling with my 20 year old daughter and didn’t really feel safe there. There were no employees on site. The home had 6 (?) rooms that were all keypad accessible. We were the only guests in the home. It felt weird. It would have also felt weird had there been people there without a staff. Maybe that’s just me. The room was lovely, nicely decorated and had everything we needed except for the following: one window didn’t have proper drapery which allowed our room to be viewed from the outside. This also allowed for very bright lights from the building across the street into our room. As another guest previously said, no control of the A/C and I found it to be too warm for me. I would have also preferred to have a separate bolt or chain lock independent of the keypad. Another concern I had was the lack of means to egress the building (in case of fire). There was only a front door. No other door was accessible to us and we were on the second floor. Some pluses! The common area was very nice with free snacks made available as well as a keurig coffee maker. This location may be a bit more fun if you’re traveling with more people and if they can fix some of my concerns.

An old home turned into apartments. Small and comfortable. Every room has a refrigerator, but the big fridge, microwave and kurig are down in the main lobby. I come for the jetted tub and fireplace. Close to everything downtown, with a Starbucks right behind it. I checked in one night, and one of the guestrooms were wide open, but the guests were no where to be found. I let the people know about this, and they came right away to make sure everything was ok. Ive already stayed here 5 - 10 times, and will definitely keep coming back.

Place was good for the money, little run down, toilet kinda awkward, both beds pretty rough to sleep on. But AC worked, had a kitchen, no bugs. So overall it was good for a budget stay.

2/10 Poor

A terrible, filthy experience

This is a falling down, filthy old building, with broken down front doors to the apartments only steps from the sidewalk on a very busy thoroughfare in a commercial area of the city. The loud traffic noise of cars and motorcycles racing and sirens does not stop 24/7. I stayed one night and immediately canceled my future stay with the owner and with Hotels.com. The images of the building and rooms on the website are highly glamorized. The furniture is old and dirty and the overall appearance of the rooms is filthy and dingy. The bed is a mattress without a box spring on a metal baseless frame. This was truly the worst experience I have had over many years of booking overnight travel locations across the country. Unfortunately the "add a photo" link to the review page does not work or I would provide photo evidence of this review.

Loved the Eliza George Room

Enjoyed my overnight stay. Lovely room and easy communication with owner. Great location for visits to the Embassy Theater.

Great place to stay right in the heart of downtown. Overall the instructions for parking and entering the building were very clear and easy to understand. The suite was clean. Came with extra amenities like a electric fireplace and a fridge. The jacuzzi bathtub is definitely big enough for two people. The bed was comfortable and clean. Plenty of pillows. A couple things I would suggest would be more detailed pictures of what comes with each room and the entrance way that leads up to the second floor. The outside walk way from the parking lot to the front door is lil uneven and caused me to trip once. No temp control for individuals rooms. A small fan in each room wouldn't be a bad option. Overall great place to stay. I would definitely book again.

Our stay at LaSalle Guest House was very enjoyable. The location (walkable to the Embassy Theatre and the Grand Wayne Convention Center) and multiple dining options was perfect. The room was clean, spacious and well appointed. The reception room with coffee and snacks was an unexpected bonus. Logistical info (door codes, parking instruction, etc.) was communicated in a timely manner. Attention to a few small items would complete the picture: the room was lacking an iron and ironing board. When travelling, the ability to iron dress shirts is a must. The closet had only two hangers. (This was rectified on day 2 of our stay - thank you). A box of Kleenex/tissues would be nice. Two drinking glasses would also be appreciated. Overall, I would highly recommend LaSalle Guest House!

Convenient to Embassy Theatre. However, road noise at night made me feel I was at a drag racing strip.

Charming. The heating electric fireplace in the room was nice on a Winter morning. The snacks were considerate. I would suggest adding an electric tea kettle and teas.

Great accommodations! Always wanted to stay here. It was a great couple's getaway. Only downside - The "king" bed was a little uncomfortable where the two twins came together and access to additional blankets would have been nice. Otherwise, nice, quaint, clean! Definitely would recommend and use again!
