"There are lots of hotels to stay at in Kathmandu, but there is only one Shankar. Shankar has unmatched hospitality, with my personal favorite hosts Mr. Puri & Mr. Sharan who are both super stars. I always looked foward to chatting with them at meal times. Shankar has a mid-century modern motif, and it keeps the heritage of Nepal and Newari culture alive. Shankar also has an amazing garden to relax in and connect with nature after a long day in the city. "

"Quiet area (to be downtown Kathmandu). Walking distance to Thamel. Very nice, friendly and helpful staff. Lovely pool and view on roof top. Breakfast service/staff is excellent, as well as the restaurant and bar on the roof top. Also very good experience with using their venues for business purposes. Value for money and a very good choice of hotel. "

"Nomade is a very nice boutique hotel, central yet quiet. Walking distance to Miracle garden and Thames, with lots of restaurants and shopping areas and sights. Very nice breakfast area and food, also nice Italian restaurant at the hotel. Recommended."
