Traditional family-run inn in the old town of Tangier. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, even walking us from the hotel to dinner the first night. Breakfast and subsequent dinner in the hotel were very good, and the top-floor room with the city view balcony is spectacular. Definitely would recommend.

Could Matisse be wrong? He stayed at this hotel, one of the oldest in North Africa, and painted the view from his room. You can still enjoy it, as the room has been preserved as a mini-museum. The hotel is perfectly located, close to the medina and just a short walk to the kasbah. The staff could not be more helpful. Find out why Franklin Roosevelt, Paul Bowles, William Burroughs, Tennessee Williams and many, many more luminaries loved this storied hotel.

So this property was beautiful inside and very clean, the location wasn’t the greatest, it was a little far from most activities we wanted to do but the place itself made up for it as it was very nice, clean, spacious, and a good deal price wise. The staff was also very helpful and responded immediately to any of our needs. My mother and I arrived late at Dar Rif and were welcomed by Fouzia, she made the experience of checking-in after a long day a breeze. She helped us to our room and served us tea, making sure we were taken care of the whole time. We only stayed one night due to travel, but we will definitely be back for a longer stay in Tangier!

This was one of the most well managed boutique hotels I have ever stayed in. Very communicative and attentive. Facilities were top notch.

Clean and very hospitable Everyone went the extra mile to make our stay an excellent experience I even asked for coffee before the kitchen opened and they still made it for me I was happy and would go there again if I come back to Tanger in the future

This is Clearly a new hotel. It’s Beautiful, Clean & Modern. Check in is not until 2pm. However the staff was lovely & gave us great recommendations to visit during our stay. It’s about 30 minutes from the Ferry Port & Old Town, keep this in mind as taxi is more expensive & the blue taxis in the city do not go to the hotel. There is a local Uber app that is convenient & saved us money.

The staff were very helpful to arrange a 5 am taxi.

The hotel is relatively close to the city center but far enough to get some peace and quit. The staff is wonderfully kind and very accommodating. Highly recommend!
