Be sure and stay in the newer tower rooms, they are significantly nicer and make all the difference. Service is standard for Egypt but has always been good for us. We stayed at the Holy Sheet during our recent family trip. The hotel was easy to locate (signage posted on street poles, showing directions to elevator entrance). I would recommend the Staybridge Suites in Cairo to any American traveling to Cairo. Although it was not close to the tourist sites, Our one bedroom suite provided a welcome retreat from the often overwhelming chaos that is Cairo.
