"We loved Villas at Playa de Coco! The room configuration was great whether your traveling as a couple, with multiple friends, or it would make for a fantastic retreat. The property finishes are high quality, staff was friendly and helpful, semi private pool was lovely and the beach was immaculate. We had the best time and cant wait to go back!!!"
"Beautiful room! Breakfast included is a plus especially traveling with younger kids! Friendly and welcoming staff! It is a place you’d want to stay and come back again. "
"Perfect location in the middle of everything, staff is amazing, steps from the beach but perfect shade on the walk to block the sun…. Can’t wait to go back "
"Shelly was absolutely amazing! She made my stay feel exceptionally welcoming. The property was a little rustic but I feel that I was integrated into the true Belizean community by the location.I would definitely return if Shelly's personalized professional presence remains at Julia's. Thank you Shelly for your kindness during my stay."

We have been coming to the Maya Hotel and Bistro for several years. It gets even better with time. The Lees are excellent in maintaining their standards of service and training staff. They improve their facilities and it is a truly welcoming place. Like a home you know you can always go to for the comfort and care. And the food....second to none! A most creative menu, infusing classic cuisines with just the perfect Caribbean/Belizean flavor. We will always return!!
This is a lovely beachfront property. My husband and I stayed in the Stingray cabana and it was perfect. Comfortable bed, large bathroom and it was nice having the option of leaving windows open so we could hear the crashing waves or turning on the AC if the humidity was high. The staff was fantastic. Thank you!
Absolutely the most stunning hotel and location. Our king room overlooked a pristine sandy beach. Everything was just perfect, the staff, the decor, the comfort and the food. The breakfast included a Belizean specialty the fry Jack. A delicious puff of doughnut like bread served with or without sugar and cinnamon. The friendly bartender Elvis makes the most spectacular cocktails at the beach bar. The owners were on site overseeing operations and their attention to detail makes everything so...
HANDS DOWN, the best resort! We stayed for 3 nights in Placencia, and when we come back we will go here without even second guessing it. Manny at the front desk is EXCEPTIONAL, Amir and all of the dining staff go above and beyond for EVERYTHING! Our room was clean, comfortable and properly taken care of daily. The spa is OUTSTANDING. I have traveled all over the world and this resort/hotel is at the top of my list. They took care of our every need and question. They looked out for us as their...
Where do I start? The moment we got to the resort we were welcomed by Heidi who brought us to our room. She was the most kind and helpful dront desk person there! Heraldo made our long weekend a blast and kept the drinks flowing. I dont know how many welcome Freshnesses i had, but they never disappointed! The resort itself is magical, like something out of a book. Mark, Juan, and Roland were also very accommodating setting up our shuttle's and golf cart rental which i highly recommend doing. The...
Our stay was wonderful. We are a mom & 3 daughters on a girls get away! Hotel has complimentary paddle boards, kayaks and bicycles. Wonderful swim up bar. Delicious food in the restaurant. Extremely helpful staff. Jason was exceptionally helpful. Also complementary shuttle in to town and to/from airport
The hotel is quite remote. If you don't have a car you must rely on the shuttle which has set hours that may not match up with your plans
We got this place at last minute, arrive late and the owner host were waiting for us.
Room very naive, individual tree houses. The place is beautiful, we could not enjoy it ,much because we were in Placencia for a weeding and we were pretty busy, left early and come back late, we did have breakfast and I can say it is very good and reasonable, their restaurant have a great sea view.
This place is super new or super newly renovated. It seems to be one of the first of its kind in this particular town. There is a fence around the property, but we didn’t see any particular need for it, aside from making guests feel secure and a little more away from the local sounds and sights. The neighborhood seemed laid back and not touristy.
The bar-restaurant is SO cute. The food was excellent. I had the steak. My friend had the conch ceviche. Both were excellent. I also had the enormous...
Beautiful room! Breakfast included is a plus especially traveling with younger kids! Friendly and welcoming staff! It is a place you’d want to stay and come back again.
The room was not an ocean front view as it was advertised as it was a pool view. It was a long walk to parking on the street that was not convenient. The room was great in that it had high end furniture, fixtures, etc.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Turtle Inn. The staff is outstanding, and very responsive. The food was very fresh and we highly recommend trying the pizza!
We reserved a beach front cabana, and it was huge with very high end furniture.
Such a beautiful resort highly recommend! The staff is what really made it such a beautiful experience. The staff was welcoming and tended to our every need. I spent my birthday here and it was something to remember!
My girlfriend and I could not be more happy with our stay at the Ellysian. I truly believe it is the best hotel/resort to stay in all of Placencia and possibly Belize. I know this probably sounds fake or like an add for this hotel but I really am this in love with the hotel and recommend it to everyone.
First off, the facilities themselves are beautiful! Everything is kept extremely clean and beautifully furnished. The rooms are GIANT! We stayed in a non-ocean front room which we...
The location within Placencia Village is perfect. The resort is on a beautiful beach and our ocean front room had a great view. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The security guard made us feel very comfortable.
Belize is back in business and we felt safe during our stay in Placencia! Everyone in town (whole families even riding bikes and in cars) wear their masks. It's no political statement in Belize...it's just done, and how nice is that? It's clear the little town has been affected by the lack of tourist dollars for nearly a year. Several restaurants and accommodations look like they won't be coming back. But the reasons you'd come to Belize: beach, weather, people, natural wonders...they're all...
We needed a place to rest our heads in Placencia on either end of our trip to an outer Caye. Julias was perfect. Right on the beach, waling distance to lots of good eats. Even though our flight arrived 5 hours late Shelly was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. Her brother Ty was attentive to us as well. We appreciate your kindness!
