These accommodations were fabulous! Weren’t exactly sure where to go when the uber dropped us off but our host was so helpful! Once we went inside, wow! Just beautiful and high end! It had everything we needed and wanted! Right outside were restaurants and coffee. It was a short walk to the port where we got a ferry to Amalfi and Positano. So clean and beautiful! Ok, I was admittedly reluctant to book an unknown place, and particularly in Naples. Naples is a crazy city (think NYC on steroids) and not my favorite, but we had to stay the night because of travel connections. I really enjoyed my stay here! The room was extremely clean, modern, and beautifully designed. I loved the unique style and attention to detail, especially the lighting, mirrors, bold colors, and the “Where is my mind?” neon sign above the bed. Excellent last minute booking and stay at Gallery experience due to a canceled flight from NAP. This hotel is not setup like a traditional hotel and instead is a large converted flat which has 5 or 6 suites, I stayed in the Blue Suite. The units are on the 2nd floor with elevator access. I strongly recommend staying at Palazzo Doria Napoli. The hotel is an experience unto itself. It was conveniently located (short taxi ride from the airport and to the central train station), including walking distance to restaurants, grocery store, and shopping. The rooms were incredibly clean, decadent, and stylish. The staff were responsive and offered helpful recommendations for dining, and navigating locally.
The property was beautiful! It was an older building but maintained very well!! We loved our room. It was a very clean facility as well. The condominium was very clean, spacious, good size for 3 to 4 people. Masimo warmly welcomed us despite us arriving late (8pm) from Capri on July 4. The unit includes breakfast in a Cafe with great pastries and coffee within 2 minute walk. Not only did he greet us with great energy and friendliness, but he was also a great “tour guide” and provided us with a map and a lot of suggestions for places to visit while in Naples, which was very helpful. This hotel is absolutely delicious in every way, except finding it.
Being city dwellers from LA and quite street savvy, we ignored previous reviews and attempted to drive there ourselves. DO NOT. Unless you want to fight with your partner for 2 hours and absolutely hate the place before you even arrive. Just park the car in a safe lot and take a taxi- or better yet, don't bring a car at all.
