"Not only was the hotel absolutely beautiful and in a really perfect location, but the service was impeccable. We spent two weeks in Japan and this was our absolute favorite stay and trip highlight."
"Very convenient location, about 5min walk from Gora Station and there is a bus stop just right outside the entrance (where we took a straight bus to Gotemba Premium Outlets). Hotel lounge was cozy, with lots of seating options, food and drink areas, and even books/manga available for reading. Our room (Twin Room 30m2) was huge and the bed was really comfy. As for the toilet, we didn't even use it as we just showered at the public bath! The outdoor area which had a campfire and a foot bath was also lovely. We also got halfboard which was buffet-style but while the food options were quite exciting the quality was just decent and we weren't too impressed by it. However, for S$313 a night, would have expected more. Free flow alcohol is quite a draw though."
Ajisai Onsen Ryokan - Award Winning Private Open Air Onsen Hakone
10/10 Excellent
"The staff was especially helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and suited our party of 4 perfectly. We enjoyed the Japanese dinner (cooking part of our meal on the individual hot plates was different and fun) and breakfast. We liked having a choice of using indoor and outdoor onsen. We would definitely stay there again."
"This hotel has the best view for Mt Fuji. We got up 5:30 in the morning and enjoyed the sunrise and Pink Fuji. The best part was that we could enjoy the Mt Fuji from open air hot spring Onsen. It was the breath taking experience."
