Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort

"The biggest problem I had with this resort was the lack of good air conditioning in the room. The thermostat was set to 18 °C which is approximately 64 °F. I did not have a thermostat with me but the rhythm consistently felt like it was around 75 °F. We had to keep the fan on at all times in order to be comfortable in the room. We had a room with a swim out pool. The food at the buffet was unexpectedly the best thing about this resort. We never had problems finding something that we enjoyed eating at the buffet. We had an opportunity to try out the Hunter steakhouse. The steakhouse was a disappointment. The meats at the buffet were better than the steak house even though the steak house required a reservation. The experience at Zen teppenyaki was worth the reservation. My kids enjoyed the chef. The food and then was decent. We also had a reservation at Rio. The only meat I enjoyed was picanha. The salad bar was good. Another problem I had with this resort was booking reservations for dinner. The only way to book reservations was through the app. The app was terrible. Using the app alone to make reservations was nearly impossible. The only way I was able to get reservations was through the Expedia representative at the resort. Maria was awesome. I do not how she did it, but she was able to book reservations for my party of 13 people. While we were there, the water park was undergoing renovations. More than half the rides at the water park were closed."

"I really liked the schedule of events, activities and amenities of the resort. Cons: 1.I know you advertised of being beach resort, but don’t see any sand to relax or feels beach. To visit real beach is also very far since this resort located in remote area away from citi. It would have been nice if you have some free transportation to near by beach would eliminate that. I wanted to book beach front resort so that I don’t need to go out for beach. 2. late night food especially after 11.30pm no restaurants and bar is open but no food served. It would be nice if we can have some vending machine or reception area for some snacks for late night cravings be nice."
