"We stayed in a chalet which was beautiful with a private hot tub not over looked. Very clean, very helpful staff . Beautiful hotel. Lovely breakfast."

"This hotel was an absolute joy.The welcoming staff and the fabulous food. Nothing to dislike. Great bedrooms. Great sandwiches at lunch and the restaurant meal was excellent."

"Lodge great all mod cons Small hot tub fine for 2 Tv is a waste of time if you need to watch regular channels Not a problem for us but worth mentioning 10 min walk to Cartmel Great base for races"

"Lovely hotel with many historical features, in a lovely setting. Had a lovely relaxing stay. The food was good and the staff excellent."

"The room was clean and the bedding fresh but basic amenities and shower was temperamental and basic! Couldn’t fault the staff and the young man serving breakfast was so friendly and helpful! Breakfast very nice although porridge on 3rd day was a bit disappointing ! Enjoyed our stay but the hotel felt a bit tired! Gorgeous views and location though"

"Top marks all round for this place, staff unbelievably helpful - food was of a good standard and well I will be returning."

"It was a lovely location, a great place for a weekend getaway for couples. "

"Friendly happy place to stay!"

"Everything was ideal with this property and if you want to walk into Cartmel it’s also close enough to do so… it does seem a lot longer walking back from Cartmel however after you have sampled the excellent local ales 😬"

"Lovely position and inside rooms were good. The let downs were the outside areas entering the property the steps were grubby and dirty so a bit offputting, also the outside patio area was unusable due to it being overgrown and dirty. INSIDE the only fault was lack of tv information and no visable welcome book in veiw. We found the book just by chance a black book on a black stool in the corner of the kitchen.put it in full veiw"
