Purana is a wonderful place to stay for a private holiday. Our transportation was very complex. We were arriving after the ferry to the island stopped running. They arranged private transportation for us. A taxi was waiting for us at the airport and took us to the boat. Seamless! When we arrived they acted like they were waiting just for us. They sat us down with the best welcome drink and were so incredibly friendly. Our villa was #8 which is up a steep hill, but they always took us by...

We were looking for the perfect tropical island, a paradise with few tourists and village-life. We finally found what we were looking for in Koh Yao Noi. The locals of Koh Yao Noi were some of the friendliest we had come across in Thailand. For a country that’s full of welcoming, warm people, that’s really saying something.
Then it was Dan’s Koyao Retreat and the great host. Sin and the ladies took such a great care of us. It felt like we were staying in a home. Luckily we were alone during our...

The Ban Sainai was like staying on a tropical island. It is very spread out, but the staff were always ready to drive you from your room to the pool or reception area. The breakfasts were very good as were the meals at the pool. The pool was absolutely gorgeous and we spent plenty of time there. The resort has a regular shuttle schedule to take you to the beach. This was an awesome experience to stay at the Ban Sainai.

The hotel has an ideal location steps away from a small but uncluttered beach. The staff and the owner / Dimitry really try hard to make your staff comfortable. Really like the set up of the villas around the pool but at the same time you don't feel like you are on top of the pool or next to your neighbor. Overall, would recommend and would stay again.
You can get a "taxi" at one of two ports for 100THB per person. One port is on the Eastern side of the island north of the hotel and the...

The design, service, and food were all excellent. Music was tasteful. Staff required some reassurance that we could handle spicy food inspite of being white. The resort is relatively quiet, remote, and secluded - for better or worse. Cocktails could have been stronger for the price. Overall we loved our time here!

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the Banyan Tree Phuket was amazing. Everything was beyond top notch. Every aspect of the Villa was amazing (How will any other hotel ever compare?). The daily breakfast was delicious beyond words. We highly recommend this hotel if you want your stay to be truly memorable.

I haven't been to Phuket in 15 years and it's not quite as I remember it. But. It's still a fine vacation destination if you haven't been.
I prefer Kata as it's away from much of the madness. Though even Kata proper is a bit mad these days. Mom Tri's made it more than tolerable. Located a quarter-mile south of town up the hill Mom's is a secluded getaway but close enough to the action for a short stroll there to see what you might be missing then run back up the hill to Mom's once you're...

Our family of 4 (we have 2 kids aged 3 and 5) stayed 10 nights at this property and absolutely loved it. The villas/suites were stunning with fully equipped kitchens and luxuriously decorated/furnished. The hotel F&B outlets were great and good value and the food quality high. The beach was only a 5 minute walk away and is excellent, with golden sands and warm sea water (with nice waves). The hotel was very family friendly with a great pool and excellent kids club. Beautiful property. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Clean, spacious, and comfortable room. Mattress was softer than typical in Thailand. Breakfast buffet was varied and delicious. Well-maintained pool. Transportation to other rooms and restaurants on-property was easy and generally fast, unless they were very busy. Food was delicious. Drinks (alcohol) were okay. Not far from elephant sanctuary and shopping. Farther from scuba points. Beach is a short drive. Would stay again.

Beautiful hotel/lush greenery. Excellent service. Restaurant/cafe food and drinks all very tasty. Nice breakfast buffet. We had a nice second floor unit with balcony facing away from pool that we enjoyed very much. The fitness center is pretty epic, lots of good workouts. Amazing massage. The facilities are however feeling worn, torn cushions on gym equipment, stains on restaurant sofas, shower grout/tile needs cleaning/resealing. Spa areas felt beat up, not well maintained. Very kid friendly,...
