The staff is amazing (Oana, Nikola, Iva, Laura- thank you!), the rooms are clean and well designed serving both form and function. The hotel size makes it feel very intimate. The lobby and bar area small so for those looking for a buzzy 'scene" this is not for you. It's for people looking for an elegant, special place place that is beautifully appointed, and takes care of guests with grace, ease and pleasure.

My husband and I enjoyed staying at Hotel Imperial. It’s a beautiful hotel and located in a great area of Vienna. The hotel staff were outstanding - professional, courteous and very helpful. We look forward to coming back!

I stayed one night in mid December and I look Forward to staying there again. The room was a tranquil, hip, clean space with a great bed with smooth bedding. All staff members were courteous and helpful, advocates for my Needs. The Location is excellent, near Shopping, sights, Entertainments, and public Transportation.

Unfortunately our stay did not start out as a pleasant experience. Upon settling into our room, a buzzing sound started coming out of the ceiling. We contacted the front desk who sent a maintenance man right away. They came and made some repairs and the noise went away. 30 minutes later water began to pour out of the ceiling and we had to call them again. At this point we were pretty upset that after an 18 hour day of flying to Vienna from Los Angeles our room was falling apart, but we...

This image of the lobby really captures it, and to the left is a majestic staircase up to the mezzanine restaurant which offers a delectable (and costly) breakfast. But overall the value is very good actually compared with other hotels in this most central of locations.
Especially wonderful is the quiet! The windows are double glass, and at least in my room, the bedroom was inside the overall 'suite', with hallway and elegant/classical bathrooom (w/bidet, shower, and bath). And a heated mirror...

I chose the Almanac because of it's location and also to see the reincarnation of the former SAS hotel. It was a GREAT surprise! EVERY single person working at the hotel deserves massive props for being the NICEST people in the industry bar none! I literally thought this was simply the most friendly hotel in the world.

We had a great experience at the hotel. The staff was superb, food and beverage very good and facility was excellent. The location was very convenient for the main train/metro station and walkable to the old town section of Vienna.

This was a wonderful place to stay in Vienna for business (and a few family members in tow). The apartment was gorgeous and clean and had everything we needed for a 6-night stay. When we had trouble locating the apartment in the building (foolishly we took the wrong elevator, even though it was clearly marked), they answered the phone right away and gave us good directions to the right place. I highly recommend!
