Hotels with a Pool in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying with David at Tarrassas de Dana. The hotel is only 4 small bungalows. They are simply but elegantly designed and finished. The site if nothing less than spectacular. Gorgeous! Full of flowers, verdant mountains, hummingbirds and butterflies. David was a wonderful host and so very helpful. We had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel served on the private porch of our bungalow. Both were excellent.

I absolutely loved my night here. My only regret was that I only had 1 night! For sure I would return. Its just outside the city center which is fabulous if you value peace and quiet as I do. We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite... 2 bathrooms, full kitchen and washer/dryer. Excellent unit. A/C worked perfectly. The dryer actually got hot and dried our clothes. The kitchen was fully stocked with a real coffeemaker (not the horrible single pod that most hotels now use). There was a full size refrig and freezer with ice trays. At first looking at the price it seemed a little high but it was totally worth it. From the very start they were outstanding. We arrived very late because of a flight delay and they were there to let us in. They were helpful in making sure that we could get to see the places and things we wanted to see without. We were in Ecuador as it was a bucket list destination and we needed a place in the area and this did it for us, the place is great, defo worth trying it out.

The owners and staff were wonderful. The property was very clean but rustic. A perfect mix in the jungle. Only a short drive to Mendo and all of the wonderful things to do there :-)

Very short trip. Appreciated the hotel organizing the taxi and giving me the option to charge to the room for my trip to and from the airport. This was a nice convenience especially given my very early morning arrival and departure times. I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel was very clean, the hotel restaurant was delicious, the gym pool & sauna where incredibly relaxing. I stayed there for my parents 50th anniversary/wedding celebration. The reception hall was elegant. But, above all THE STAFF, what can I say. They went above & beyond to make my parents day a day to REMEMBER! Wonderful experience at the Bio Hostal Cloud Forest! Luis and his staff could not have been more gracious and helpful. The rooms were large, bathrooms clean and tidy. Excellent breakfast included in rate. There was plenty of birds and trails. The staff was very nice and helpful. The food was unexpectedly great. The road getting up to the reserve is a little rocky/bumpy but thats literally the only concern everything else was amazing.

Beautiful place

Amazing villa with 3 bedrooms and many lounge areas. The staff and owners were very accommodating and even brought our breakfast to us, as we weren’t staying on the main property. Very clean, amazing views, and it was all in a private neighborhood. It is very safe in Mindo. Fresh fruit trees are growing in the backyard, and yes, you will see many new animals. this is for the adventerous, dont get scare on the way there the roads are a little rough due to the hotel still being developed. Chef Marcelo is a plus for this hotel and Sol as well. The entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
