We use the public onsen before dinner so there are not much people. The private onsen in the room also great, but will be a bit small if two people bath together. "This resort appears to be popular with families with little kids. We got a room with 2 beds and 2 futons so it was larger than the usual futon only rooms. It had a bathroom but no shower, with expectations that you would shower at the onsen. They had free parking which was nice.
The breakfast was the best buffet breakfast of our trip with lots of items to choose from. "

The hotel is only 20 minutes by bullet train from Kanazawa train station. Hotel provided free shuttle pick up from the Kaga Onsen train station.
