The Villas at Simpson Bay Resort
10/10 Excellent
"This is a great place to stay! A 10 minute, $15 cab ride from the airport. Part of the much larger Simpson Bay resort complex. Everything you need is right here: beach, several pools, scuba diving, boat excursions, bars, and restaurants and a great supermarket. And it’s about a five minute walk down the hill to the main street, which is full of restaurants, stores, bars and clubs. I stayed in the Jr suite for a few days and then a villa for a few days. The Jr suite had a very small balcony, a kitchenette and two beds. The villa had a separate bedroom, two Murphy beds in the living room, and a giant balcony and a full kitchen. The beds and pillows were just a little above average. Good TV with all the channels you need.
The front desk gets busy, but the people working there are very helpful and super nice. I couldn’t recommend staying here more."
"Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. There are a few areas where housekeeping could improve. Our room was noticeably dusty, and we found ants on the countertop during our stay. We also noticed that some of the pools could have used more frequent cleaning. While these issues were disappointing, they didn't overshadow the positive aspects of our experience."
"I loved everything about Divi the cleanliness of the property, the friendly staff members. Everything is acceptional. The restaurant every meal I had was great. I will definitely stay there again."

8/10 Good
"The location is really good. Close to many restaurants in Simpson Bay.
The shower was not working 100%. Tooking a lot of time to get hot and when it was hot, it was too hot. But it was good overall. And theres good market in the first floor."
"Book an oceanfront unit, the gentle sound of waves on the beach and the view from the patio or balcony is wonderful! Had a 1 brm suite that felt more like a condo-spacious & full kitchen. Daily texts from staff were helpful for requesting extra anything that we needed. And promptly brought to the room. Beach here is great for floating or snorkeling. Simpson Bay side of SXM is much calmer than the other sides and NO sargassum (icky seaweed)! All of these are great: onsite beach restaurant, happy hour poolside, French bistro across the street ++, grocery nearby, resort next door w/several restaurants easy walk down the beach, easy walk to casino, catamaran tours also at dock next resort. Simpson Bay resort is next to Hilton but it's so huge, we were glad to be at the Hilton. Parking was easy and gated. Area felt very safe for guests."
