A beautiful, charming hotel, located quietly at the edge of town yet a stone thrown away from its center. Very beautifully decorated room. The staff was very attentive. I would return in a heartbeat.
The staff was very welcoming and more than helpful. When we found ourselves in a bind because we needed fuel and the only service stations open were automated (which don't accept American credit cards), the hostess went with us and used her personal credit card to get us on the road again. (We paid her back with cash.)
This is a gorgeous manor house in the heart of the Dordogne Valley next to the river. The views are spectacular and the gardens are beautiful. Be sure to get the breakfast because it is a feast of local flavors. Wonderful hosts who can make excellent dining recommendations. Worth the money for a once in a lifetime experience.

Chateau De Maraval was just the castle experience we wanted from the medieval region from France. We were on a girl's trip and were provided two rooms that were beautifully furnished and stocked up.
All the interiors was tastefully done. Outside of the castle is medieval but the rooms were with modern amenities. It was like living the best of two worlds. The property is well maintained. The staff were very helpful and kind. We had an amazing time. We definitely would recommend this for families...
Hôtel situé un peu à l' écart et accessible par un funiculaire à partir de l' hôtel NH city. Mais néanmoins bien situé proche des transports en commun,metro pour l aéroport et les tramways pour les différents sites de la ville.

We had such a wonderful stay at La Sarlamandre. Our hosts, Stéphy and Séb were so kind and welcoming from the start. The rooms are very clean and feel brand new.

Our stay was excellent. Alexander met us when we drove in and showed us around the property. Our room was roomy and nicely furnished. The bathroom was large. Eveything looked quite new. The breakfast was out of this world. For us the location was excellent for our visit to the National Museum of Prehistory.
Just an amazing place! The rooms are perfectly decorated, beds heavenly, great pool. Dinner is better than anywhere around. Marlin, the owner, gave us good suggestions of the places in the area to visit. We loved Josephine Baker's castle, don't miss that.
We had a lovely stay. Our room was great and the staff, especially the afternoon reception clerk was wonderful. Not only did she acclimate us to the hotel, she helped carry our bags, and she helped plan the things we did while we were in the area. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant which was super. We had a great stay here. The host, I can’t remember his name, was helpful and kind. It was a beautiful and very quiet spot. The stone buildings and decor made it feel like a medieval village.
The hotel facilities are great, but, the staff is outstanding. All were extremely friendly and helpful. I will surely stay there the next time I am in Sarlat.
