I spent half my time exploring the north and the other half in the city center, and this location made navigating both areas seamless. We absolutely loved our visit at Villa Maria! Every member of the staff was so friendly and willing to help with any questions or requests. The rooms were just what we needed - a wonderful, modern bathroom, a big bed, and a nice balcony with views of the ocean. The hotel is very close to an entrance of Tayrona National Park (which we hiked), and also went tubing down a nearby river, per the suggestion of the staff. The place is very hilly with lots of stairs so I wouldn't recommend for someone...

We had a great stay at Yachay. The staff is very caring. The food at the restaurant is absolutely delicious. The hotel is surrounded by nature and therefore very relaxing. I wished there was a larger pool but we appreciated the jacuzzi and made good use of it. The hotel is very close to the entrance of the park but has some steep stairs, therefore not for people with mobility issues. You have to get tickets for the park as the hotel is inside the park. Entrance to the park is only until 3 pm so...

Very friendly, very helpful. When our driver couldn't make it to the Casa to take us to Santa Marta airport for our flight to Bogota, Marisela took us both in our car and drove the hour and 15 minutes to drop us off at the airport. Even though we don't speak much Spanish at all, her entire staff took the effort to communicate with us in English throughout our stay. The location is fantastic and you have the choice of tenting on the beach to common dorm type accomodation to a couple of rooms...
