It is a very nice place, with parking. Full of trees, close to the river. Eco friendly. Rooms are spacious. The service and attention to detail is excellent. The food is made for you at the time you order it, it is very fresh. smoking is not allowed in the premises. The sauna, turco (vapor) and jacuzzi are power on at the time you require them. We had a great time that i will stay again.

We absolutely loved our visit at Villa Maria! Every member of the staff was so friendly and willing to help with any questions or requests. The rooms were just what we needed - a wonderful, modern bathroom, a big bed, and a nice balcony with views of the ocean. Barlovento is a gem near Tayrona. One almost doesn’t need to leave the property to get the real jungle beach experience. However, it is a perfect home base for your adventure. The accommodations are very comfortable and quiet. Just watch out for the “no see ums” insects that get through the mosquito nets in the cabana, but this is true everywhere. Very friendly, very helpful. When our driver couldn't make it to the Casa to take us to Santa Marta airport for our flight to Bogota, Marisela took us both in our car and drove the hour and 15 minutes to drop us off at the airport.
Even though we don't speak much Spanish at all, her entire staff took the effort to communicate with us in English throughout our stay.

We had a great stay at Yachay. The staff is very caring. The food at the restaurant is absolutely delicious. The hotel is surrounded by nature and therefore very relaxing. I wished there was a larger pool but we appreciated the jacuzzi and made good use of it. The hotel is very close to the entrance of the park but has some steep stairs, therefore not for people with mobility issues. You have to get tickets for the park as the hotel is inside the park.
