My kids said this was the best hotel they ever stayed at- mostly because it's on a horse farm overlooking a beautiful distant view of the ocean and the city of Akureyri. The check in was a little confusing because there was no one there, so we had to call internationally to find out how to get in. The studio appartment is on the 2nd floor- it had LOTS of room to spread our suitcases out. There was an easy to use pull out futon for the kids and a nook with another 2 person bed. Very quiet area....
It’s peaceful with the best views. Perfect for a couple looking for quiet and a cozy stay. The stairs to the loft are pretty narrow and steep but we didn’t mind it at all.
I wish we had more time to explore the area. Host ha d a list of suggestions of things to do which is really helpful.
Will definitely stay here again if we ever come back in the future.
The hotel was well located with a wonderful view. It was designed nicely and the bed, pillows, and bathrooms were all comfortable. It was quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

Great guest house!
The room was quiet with a spacious private bathroom. Towels and sheets were clean, shampoo and conditioner were included, and it was a nice quiet area. Room was overall great and have no complaints there!
Dinner was also delicious! Got the burger and it tasted just like back home. Fries were also seasoned nicely!
Staff was kind and friendly and treated us nicely!
Also since the place is pretty remote I was very luckily able to see the northern lights! Had to drive about...
Two 50+ year olds and a college student. Great location in the heart of town. Easy to get in and out of town to attractions. Great space in 1 bedroom. Cute room with great kitchen amenities. Does have a tight stairwell and no elevator so takes some lugging of luggage but not a problem for us. Bed for third person is a sofa (not a sofa bed). No issue for my kid. Will definitely stay again.
This is a beautiful place to stay in Akureyri! I would easily give it 100000/10. The views are stunning, the breakfast is excellent, and the overall experience exceeded all expectations.

Beautiful views! Brand new hotel in akureyi. Very large rooms. With a private bathroom. Nicest hotel I stayed at while in Iceland. Very clean! Wonderful breakfast. The owner was superb! The views from every window of the hotel were amazing.
One of the best hotels we stayed in Iceland! The room to the balcony was exceptional. The hot tub overlooking the city was amazing! Definitely recommend staying here! Amenities were updated in short don’t think twice about booking here!!
We absolutely loved these apartments! Wonderful location, very clean and spacious! They were SO close to everything! Very comfortable bed and pillows! The only downsides were a lack of salt/pepper (most other places we’ve stayed had a few spices/seasonings) and no shampoo/conditioner. I somehow left mine at the last stop and the store was closed so not having even little toiletries was a bit of a bummer and I had to wait till the next day when the store opened.
I would go back to Akureyri just to stay at this hostel. It was absolutely perfect, and the pod idea gives a lot more privacy to the hostel concept. Plus, nice terrace overlooking main street, incredibly friendly staff, good range and tasty breakfast (the pastries are baked right there) and everything was somehow sparkling clean almost all the time. I dont usually give many written out reviews, but this place deserves it.
