El Colibri is an excellent choice for a week long stay in Playa Carrillo. Our kids loved the pool and were very comfortable roaming about the property and surrounding area. The walk down to the beach was very reasonable, as was access to the market and several small restaurants. Of course I need to mention El Colibri's outstanding Argentinian parrilla. The roads getting to the property — and the Nosara area — were incredibly bumpy and rough. Once we arrived it was totally worth it. The staff was very friendly, they helped us with our Spanish, made it easy to schedule rides to town and activities offered. My husband and I had a wonderful time at Montelaguna and I absolutely hope to return. The property was very charming and well decorated with a relaxed atmosphere and all the conveniences we would want. The meals were so good that we rarely ate anywhere else -- well prepared and reasonably priced. The staff were ALWAYS pleasant and helpful. They made a great mojito.
