Grand Hotel Savoia Genova, Curio Collection by Hilton
8/10 Good
"Beautiful old hotel. Very well located need train station and a short walk to the Harbour. Restaurants were very good but not located where advertised. Staff said they would be moving soon. Most staff were very attentive but a couple in the bar were not engaged and it was not busy"
"This place was massive! We would for sure rent from this location again. The only thing that wasn’t amazing was that we really struggled to connect and stay connected to the internet."
"We really love our stay. Great location on the beach with a huge pool, clean non cramped room with a great view. The restaurant had a very good selection at the continental breakfast. Staff was very helpful by watching our bags when we arrived before check in time. The location is perfect. There are lots of great restaurants and a big market within walking distance. My only personal wish would be that I wish the pillows had a little more support / structure for how firm the bed was."
"Excellent location with a great cafe nearby and several good restaurants. Hotel breakfast rooms a small and can be very busy with large tour groups. But food is good value. Would like more fruit!"
"The hotel is located very close to the train station and a short distance to the beautiful town center. Staff is very friendly, wifi is strong and the room is clean and comfortable."
"Great location especially if you're planning on using the Genoa Principale train station. Property shares amenities with the hotel next door and the lobby bar, lounge area and terrace are beautiful. Parking is a bit tricky but best to pay the small premium on hotel valet if you have a car. Old school elevator is great! Didn't get a chance to use the spa but would definitely stay there again if in Genoa.
Best cappuccino and breakfast pannino is at the stand across from the train station and best apperitivo & snacks was at Bar delle Vigne with locals after work. Genoa was grittier than we thought but loved it especially when taking a wrong turn into their red light district. Great start to visiting the Italian & French riviera."
