Such a lovely property--the balcony is so relaxing. Rooms are wonderfully appointed and enjoyed our conversations with the owner. He was so helpful and interesting to chat with. This is truly a place to relax and enjoy in the small town of Kostanjevica na Krki. We had a wonderful stay! A gem in southeastern Slovenia--both Vila Castanea and the town.
We were given a very warm welcome from our host. The cottage is very cozy and comfortable. It has been updated and was very clean and well taken care of. It is up among grape vineyards and gardens surrounded by beautiful forested hills. The owner was very knowledgeable about the culture and area contacts. For us, it really seemed like "heaven on earth". We want to return.
Nice location to old town. Check in instructions were very clear. Clean room with lots of hooks to hang things. Loved that. Never could get the stove to work so survived with the kettle. Would have been nice to be able to heat things up but there were no instructions on how to use it.
This is a wonderful wellness resort with a relaxing and rejuvenating wellness center. The staff is superb and helpful. It lives up to the reputation of being green and sustainable. I highly recommend Balnea Superior Hotel. It's worth the trip to this beautiful southern part of Slovenia.
