The staff was so incredibly welcoming and kind! This is a much quieter part of that island, but that was a welcomed aspect after being near the most bustling areas before. Steps away from a beautiful beach - great little slice of paradise off the beaten path.
COME HERE!!! I booked a self catering room on Mahe for 12 days not knowing Seychelles had other islands to visit. Had I known I would’ve come to Praslin first and definitely booked the majority of my stay here at Cote d’Or Retreat! The rooms are incredible!!! The entire facility is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! If you are looking for a nice quiet relaxing location off the beaten path overlooking the beach. This is the place! The accomadations are beautiful & first class. There is the constant sound of the surf, with an ocassional scooter or vehicle driving by. You may hear a few voices in the distance, other than nothing but the sweet sound of the surf.
The owners, Natasha and Stuart, along with the entire exceptional staff make you feel as if you are family. Attention to absolutely every single detail. We ate at the restaurant our final night and they remembered at dinner that we had early next morning departure and gave us our breakfast that night!
The location is close enough to the center but it's more tucked away in a quieter area of la digue. The property is very well maintained, the staffs are veey warm, welcoming and accommodating. Stephan was exceptional. I will definitely be back in the island because of the magical vibe of the island.
A very well run establishment. The locals had respect and admiration for the owner, which was very impressive. Very peaceful place, all you heard was the ocean and local wildlife. Laid back and relaxing atmosphere. Reception was extremely friendly and helpful.

Coco de mer is a lovely hotel; not only does it look great but the staff were very welcoming & generous. The staff is very friendly, attentive and accommodating. We were well taken care of from check in to the great chef. The property has a well attended tortoise pen. The beach view air conditioned villas are spacious and very clean.
