If you are planning a visit to Schloss Sanssouci, this hotel is a great choice. It's just a short walk to the main entrance to the palace park. It's a little bit of a hike to the center of Potsdam but if you like to walk, it's a pleasant one. Or you can climb the tower and see much of the town from there. My room was up a steep flight of stairs but the staff cheerfully lugged my heavy suitcase up there without having to be asked.

The hotel is impeccable, modern, inviting, comfortable and very very clean. Perfect location: best restaurants and shopping just across the main street, and 10 minute walk from Sanssouci Park. I booked my room through hotel.com; and what a surprise, I had complimentary breakfast and Wi-Fi. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, a combination of hot and cold selections. The staffs were very nice and friendly. I had a quiet room in a private corner, looking down at the court.
