It would have been nice if the restaurant and bar had been open. But with today’s staff shortages, was not surprised.
The property is in a somewhat desolate area, so you'll need your own car or willingness to take a taxi everywhere. The rooms are clean and spacious but there are already signs of poor maintenance throughout. No complaints about the stay though; we had both a connecting room (king with two twin beds) as well as a deluxe queen (two queen beds) and found them very comfortable for our family with two small children. A couple of nasi kandar breakfast options nearby; there is an Aeon mall nearby with...
Happy with the stay, the location is near to the airport. The room is clean and big. Special thanks to the assistant manager Jessie Chua, she is very warm and helpful. We definitely will come back again.
The Bedrock Hotel is a one-of-a-kind place: quirkily but tastefully decorated with wonderful management. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. Debbie helped me arrange a tour to the Cameron Highlands and transport to the train station. I'd highly recommend the Bedrock, and I'll stay there the next time I visit Ipoh, a little gem of a town that's not yet spoiled by an onslaught of tourists.
Checked in late in the evening and stayed for a night, staff were friendly. The corridors are quite echo-ey. Room was great, clean and comfy. The furnitures seemed new. Free bottled water and 3-in-1 coffee packets. There's shampoo, body shampoo, shower cap. TV worked pretty well but I prefer to watch on my iPad. Check out was a breeze.
