"This place is amazing. Large for Japan standards and quirky, with original station features and nice add ons the owner has made. Lovely thoughtful inclusions such as a torch, ear plugs (ee didnt need them, to be honest most places in Japan you can hear a trai !), umbrella, lovely bath products, great coffee, breakfast tickets, microwave. The owner has made the effort. This was a highlight of two weeks around Japan."

"This is a historic Japanese ryokan located right in front of Tanzan Shrine, set in a quiet mountain area. The building itself is old and not a traditional Japanese structure, but the clean guest rooms are tatami-style Japanese rooms. There are no restaurants nearby, so it is recommended to include both breakfast and dinner. The staff are very kind, and the local Japanese-style barbecue served at dinner was especially delicious."
