"We selected Seiler au Lac primarily for the lakefront view, but we were thoroughly impressed with the stay overall. The property overall is admittedly a bit dated, but the staff clearly takes very good care of it and takes pride in their work. Everything was sparkling clean, especially the bathrooms, and there were multiple little touches that helped the stay be even more special (lots of free pre-stocked drinks in the fridge, for example). "Third generation family run property with very friendly innkeepers. Offered a solid breakfast with everything you could want but no eggs or breakfast meat. I didn’t miss them. Interior is cozy and charming. My balcony had such an amazing view of Witterhorn Mountain, I didn’t want to leave my room! Location is perfect, away from the touristy center of town but still walkable to everything. Can’t recommend the place enough."

"The hotel was absolutely amazing! The views on top of the town of Grindelwald from the hotel were spectacular - mountain views galore! Breakfast café had windows overlooking the mountains also, and the food was varied and delicious. Our room was upgraded -larger, with a frig and view. The only downside was the hotel was above town, so the walk down was steep, and the way back seems impossibly steep!"

"She's not posh but you'll have a wonderful Swiss guesthouse experience in a quaint village. Breakfast was spectacular with many choices and delicious coffees. Easy train and bus connections to all the local towns and villages. Looking forward to a return visit."
