"When you visit Khao Sok or Cheow Lan Lake, the thing to do is stay in one of these raft houses. You’ll take a long tail boat from the dam area to the raft house, which depending on the time of year, you may get rained on. Praiwan Raft house is great because it’s a more authentic experience and is more tucked away in the park, right near where many of the wildlife tours are, so there are animals right next to you. "Beautiful location! Exceptional staff! Our cabin was very nice. No a/c, but the two fans saved us. There was no hair dryer in the cabin, but they had them available for the asking. There was no fridge in the cabin, but they were happy to provide ice. I think we would’ve found it easier to climb into bed if the mosquito netting opening was at the side of the bed instead of the foot. They do not accept credit cards, but we were able to book our excursion online. The food was delicious...

"Everything seemed broken, damaged or stained; floor, walls, currains, sink, power plugs... but the sheets and towels were clean and the airco worked so I had what I needed for just one night. Value for money was still okay; I didn't pay much and wasn’t expecting much either. The location is a perfect spot for if you want to take the boat to Surin the next day."
