It doesn’t look fabulous from the outside, but, inside it quite lovely. The hotel is very well maintained although not modern. We were very comfortable there and the staff was delightful.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hôtel Littéraire Stendhal (with air conditioning thankfully). Our room was built directly adjacent to the Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciation et Saint-Sigisbert. In fact, our hotel featured part of the exterior facade with two 18th-century baroque cherubs on our "wall." The staff and service was superb. We were amazed by how quiet the room was with a bustling café and busy street below.

The location is great -- about 3 minutes walk from the Place Stanislas and a bunch of restaurants. The parking is on-site (well next door). The hotel includes double windows (like at an airport hotel) curling the street noise to a minimum. The only thing not so great was the buffet -- while it was a full buffet -- it did not include silverware or new plates!!!
