These are pretty rustic cabins, but they are clean and comfortable. Also, the WiFi is fast.
Expedia double booked the family cabin so when we arrived, the only cabin left was a studio with 2 full beds - and we are 5 people. The host called his daughter and she brought over a cot to put in the living area. We were so grateful not to have to find another place!
I can't say enough nice things about this host. He lives next door and is totally willing to help out in any way. He has 3 milk cows...
We enjoyed the cabin; it was perfect for our needs. It might have been nice to have a chair in the cabin. But we were able to sit at the restaurant tables and use the wifi there. so all our needs were met! Thank you !
This place is an underappreciated gem. It lies on the banks of the Rio San Carlos with 24 individual cabins. The rooms are very spacious and nicely appointed. While the pictures show the cabins overlooking the river only around four or five of them actually do that. I spent three nights here in August, 2018. What a unique experience! The room included breakfast and a ~2 hour guided tour of the reserve. The rooms (with bunk beds) and the food/dining hall were bare bones, think summer camp vibes, but a summer camp where you are awakened by howler monkeys and tucans. Recommended!
Beautiful property right on the river. There are so many beautiful birds and gardens. A sloth hug out in the tree right outside the door. It was never more than 6 meters above the ground. It was a wonderful experience. This place is unique....if you enjoy nature this is the place to stay. Their rainforest is awesome for birdwatching ,wildlife enjoyment and they have the longest hanging bridge in the country. Their food is very good and you can enjoy a free breakfast included with their very reasonable price!!!
