Sofitel Barú Cartagena
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is amazing and the staff are caring. The only inconvenience we encountered was delays in the golf cart services to get our bags to the lobby and the catamaran having technical issues which meant we arrived via speedboat. The hotel staff helped resolve the catamaran issue quickly and refunded us a portion. Amazing stay overall."
Thani Ecobeach Barú
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel is great. It's worth the price you pay for it. It met my expectations and goes beyond. The staff is very helpful and nice: Rafa, Leo, Fernanda, Fabiola, etc. The rooms are small but go with the echo friendly concept of the hotel. The delicious breakfast is included and in general, the kitchen or restaurant has a variety of dishes. The only dark spot is a nearby hooter making noise around 4:30 a.m. that could disrupts your rest and causes stress. After complaining to the management the noise got reduced from 10 to 7. I will defenetely stay there in the future."
Las Islas
10/10 Excellent
"Las Islas was an experience of Caribbean luxury. My wife and I spent the last few nights of our honeymoon and were delighted we chose this place. The treetop bungalows were stunning, with particular added comfort in the canopied bed frame and air-conditioning. The balconies offer a private relaxation spot while still enjoying the peacefulness of nature. We even had some monkey visitors to our porch one morning. Breakfasts are included in the rate and we felt they were value for money with an excellent selection of coffee, tea, meats, cheeses, pastries, fruits, and freshly prepared eggs in a scenic waterside setting. Lunches and dinners are additionaly but fairly priced, being prepared to a high standard. The selection of seafoods and wine was a particular highlight. As with the rest of Colombia, be sure to only drink bottled water during your stay as the tap water will leave you with an upset stomach. Overall, we were very impressed with the level of service provided at Las Islas and would recommend it to anyone."
Soy Local Islawa
10/10 Excellent
"Peaceful stay with great views and friendly staff I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel in Isla Soy. The location is excellent, with nice views and a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax. The hotel itself is great, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout my visit — the service was one of the highlights. A couple of suggestions for improvement: it would be nice to have a few extra amenities or activities so the stay doesn’t feel limited if you’re there for several days. Breakfast was good, but a bit restricted in options. Also, they charge for almost any extra, including basic items like mayonnaise and ketchup, which felt a little excessive. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience and would definitely come back. The combination of the peaceful setting, nice views, and welcoming staff made the stay enjoyable."
Decameron Baru - All inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was great except, lunch Buffet was over run on Sunday with day pass guests."
HOTEL PLAYA SURF BARÚ
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel was a gem. The staff went above and beyond—genuinely caring about every detail of the stay. The beach and water were breathtaking, and the amenities were top-notch. Overall, a truly memorable experience!"
Isla Corona
10/10 Excellent
"Samuel was the best service staff we have ever had. He made an effort to learn English words with us while also teaching us Spanish. He definitely made the trip even better. As for the island, it was incredible. The boat ride there and back was 1000x better than a day trip boat I took a day prior with another company. It’s breezy at night on the island which helps keeps the mosquitos away. Would definitely recommend staying at least 2 nights to be able to fully enjoy the island :)"
ACASI Rustic Beach
10/10 Excellent
"Gorgeous spot on a private beach in Baru, highly recommend for a romantic and quiet getaway. Super attentive staff, beautiful rooms, and the grounds were also lovely. We had the entire place to ourselves for a night!"
Aura Hotel Barú
