An excellent B&B in Windhoek, close to the downtown area. The lodgings are excellent on all counts, very secure and in a quiet neighbourhood. The staff were extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and spaceous.
The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and pleasant. The location is a little further from downtown than I would have preferred, but it is still walk-able, and as a bonus Joe's Beerhouse is not too far away!

Antonio was a fantastic host. I would recommend that anyone looking for a place to stay in Windhoek stay at Maison Ambre. He will look after you like family, or even better, like a life long friend.
Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented, served by the excellent, considerate and light-hearted waiting staff. When I appeared to have lost my passport just before leaving, Stephanie on the front desk instantly jumped into fully supportive tracking mode, and together we found it. The approach to service seemed excellent throughout all the staff I encountered.
No complaints about the hotel, room, experience or location. All more than acceptable. But stayed here two times in one week and both times they attempted to charge me for a prepaid room booked by Expedia. They knew this at check in but at check out the room charge appeared on the bill. In one case, an office note indicated that the front desk staff should disregard the Expedia receipt and collect for the room.
