The hotel is situated in the country, near tall trees and grape vines, convenient to hiking in that part of Madeira. The views were lovely. The staff were helpful and friendly. For the 3 of us, the room was a bit crowded, but okay.

It was a good decision chooosing to stay out of the City of Funchal and stay at this charming hotel with tranquil atmosphere that i feel well rested during my 4 night stay. Spotless, very clean, and beautiful.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, and the breakfast was a wonderful way to start each morning. The views were truly incredible and were easily one of the highlights of our stay. This is a lovely quinta in a gorgeous setting. The hotel receptionist/waitress was extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. The room was big and comfortable.

Clean room with beautiful natural surroundings. Two pools, Rose garden, free glass of wine, free parking, a nice free breakfast at the restaurant across the streetwhere we also had a nice dinner. The lady at the reception desk was friendly.

I really really enjoyed my stay. Hotel was clean and quiet and served my needs perfectly. Hotel staff was able to arrange for a rental car for me when I arrived to the hotel. Free parking was very limited but, I was always able to find paid street parking not far from the hotel. So not really a big deal. The hotel staff are superb. Pestana properties are our 'go to' properties when travelling in Europe. The staff are always super friendly & helpful. Churchill Bay is a lovely authentic fishing village. The hotel has a lovely roof top restaurant. The food was fresh & very well prepared. We stayed 4 nights & dined at the hotel every night. There are many other options but we enjoyed the convenience & birds eye view of the bay's activies at the sunset.

Excellent property! The hotel is in a beautiful, quiet village surrounded by amazing views. Feels like you’re in Santorini! Staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions. The hotel has pricing for affordable rentals cars, much cheaper than what we paid. Definitely worth staying at if you want to be away from the city.

Beautiful hotel and super convenient location. Very clean and comfortable. Staff was all super nice and helpful. Spa is very nice and Suana and Turkish bath are available free of charge to all guests. Rooftop has really nice views of Funchal.

We stayed a week and the staff was incredibly accommodating. At the restaurant they were able to work with our dietary restrictions, for morning hikes when we would miss hikes they arranged a takeaway bag for us to take in the morning. Very clean space and great views.
