Very friendly staff, extremely clean and quiet. Lovely muted decorations just all-around a wonderful peaceful place to stay. Bed was very comfortable. Also the coffee was wonderful and strong.
There was nothing we didn't like!! I can't say enough good things about this Hotel, we stayed here on July 3rd for our 6 year Wedding Anniversary just a little getaway & we were not disappointed! We absolutely loved it & our stay was absolutely wonderful, everyone was so welcoming & friendly. We got into our room & had 2 yummy cookies waiting for us along with a very sweet card wishing up a Happy Anniversary, such a nice touch. There were complimentary bottles of water in the fridge which was...
Exceptionally fast wifi, great beds, cozy room, beautiful bathroom (and room), nice and clean...smelled nice, great staff, awesome HD TV, we were thrilled with this stay, and will be back whenever we're in the area. Only downside was not being able to pay through Hotels.com, but that's just a minor inconvenience.
The Babcock House exceeded my expectations. The room and amenities were top shelf. The breakfast was delicious and healthy each day. The dinners were up there with any other exclusive city restaurant. It appeared that the chef used a variety of cooking techniques and ingredients to create his dinners. This bed and breakfast is one of the best I have stayed at.
Highly recommended: a charming (& sprawling) home minutes away from restaurants and historic sites. The hosts were most welcoming, worked with us when our plans changed, and prepared a delicious breakfast for us before we began our day of history-nerding-out at Appomattox Court House. Why hang out a bland, similarly-priced chain hotel when Longacre is available?
Harmony Hill was a great place to spend a quiet night after exploring the area. It was very clean, and the hosts Mary and Bill were kind and attentive. Breakfast was abundant and well prepared, and my husband's dietary needs were well attended to. We enjoyed!
We were in town a couple days for a funeral. I stay in a lot of hotels during business travels. The Grand was clean and the staff was excellent. Door locks did need some maintenance as we had two rooms and they both had to be rekeyed several times. The sensor in the lock probably needs serviced
Cabins are more spacious inside than they appear. Very clean throughout, and the bed was super comfortable. Cute decor and nice shower/tub combo with good water pressure and hot water. Cabin # 2's deck is visible to Cabin # 3 and vice versa if sitting on the deck, but it was otherwise very private and peaceful. You could walk to Devil's Backbone and are within a 1-5 minute drive to DB, Blue Toad, Bold Rock, Three Notch'd, and many other breweries, cideries, wineries, and restaurants. Cannot beat...
