We stayed in this place for 4 nights and had an experience of a lifetime. Staff were just absolutely respectful, professional and accommodating of our needs anytime. The food is like an other hotel where selections are limited. However, we would still rate their food with 4 stars. My wife and I stayed here while visiting Peneda-Gerês National Park. Sao Bento was a fantastic location for exploring the park and trails in the surrounding area. The hotel is a short 10-15-minute drive to Campo do Geres, where we went on a great hike (Cidade da Calcedónia trail) followed by a terrific drive through the park, along the Rio Homem (lake) to the Spanish border, and back down N-308-1. Wonderful stay for us and our friends who all booked other rooms in the same hotel as we were visiting for a wedding. It is a bit further from the center of the city so we had to use a vehicle to get there. We found a nice walk/bike/run trail that starts near the hotel and goes towards nearby parks! The gym was super convenient to use. The breakfast was fantastic. Luggage storage came in handy and was smooth after we checked out so that we could explore nearby before our departure.

Stayed here for a wedding. Was pleasantly surprised at the amenities and service. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was great. Only downside was that getting to town required a short drive but uber rides were quick and inexpensive
Only thing we regret is that we only started one night here as we on the way from Portugal to Spain!
