Liseberg Grand Curiosa Hotel
"~The hotel itself was amazing and the kids particularly like the indoor slide they could slide down instead of taking the stairs. The staff were helpful, however failed to point out you need to book a breakfast slot for each day. I didn't realise this until around 11pm the night before and therefore the only times available were either 07.45 or 09.45 and later. I had to book the 07.45 slot as we were leaving that day, however this meant getting up super early and despite the reviews I'd read the breakfast just wasn't worth it, I'd sooner have had the time in bed. For such a luxurious hotel I'd have expected more."
Elite Park Avenue Hotel
"Thank you for a great stay downtown."
Hotel & Ristorante Bellora
"All good, though a kettle and cups would be good."
Spar Hotel Majorna
"Great place!"
Scandic Europa
"We stayed as a family of four in one of the family rooms. The rooms are of good quality, and above all relatively large and with a full double mattress in the sleeper sofa. Breakfast is good with a broad selection. Breads seem to come right out of the oven to the breakfast."
Scandic Goteborg Central
"Amazing"
Comfort Hotel Panorama
"Slightly out of the the city centre, but with very regular bus services, and a convenient public cycle (Styr & Stall) docking station, the Comfort Panorama offers a good value base. Or it's 15 minutes from the end of Avenyn, by the Art Museum. My room was quite small, in common with other hotels I have stayed in this chain, so ideal for single occupancy, although theoretically could sleep two. There's also very little storage space, so again with two people the room wouldn't have worked. Breakfast is excellent so worth paying extra for. There's a small gym on the 4th floor. The only stairs between floor that I could find were a narrow spiral staircase, which meant I nearly always used to the lift; at busy times there can eb a slight wait for them. Two downsides: I was saving my empty cans/plastic bottles to recover the deposit, and even though they were not kept near to the waste bin, on the cleaning day they were all removed! There's no real options for a hot drink - nothing in the room, only a free coffee from reception if you are a Strawberry member, and no convenient branch of 7-Eleven or Pressbyran. But if you want a cup of tea or a nighttime decaf - no options."
Clarion Hotel Karlatornet
"Good hotel to stay in, but there is not gym. Rooms are good. Hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Great breakfast too."
Arken Hotel & Art Garden Spa
"Cute place. Nice restaurant. Great breakfast. Nice complimentary teas and coffee. Well equipted bathroom. Air conditioning or at least room fans would be helpful."
