The city of Yakima is great. Pleasant, lots of shopping and restaurants. This hotel is in the seediest part of town, though. We had absolutely no idea or we wouldn't have booked here.

Went to Yakima for our daughter's high school dance competition for state. The area is decent and has lots of rich culture. The Yakima Valley SunDome did not disappoint. Eat at Mel's diner. The food was so yummy and the ambiance was cool.

Didn't stay long. Didn't seem like a lot to do but it wasn't a sight seeing destination
